When applying for credit cards, the banks give you a choice of mastercard or visa. Whats the difference? Isnt it a credit card in the end? And both are accepted worldwide as well, hence whats the distinction for?

More Japanese questions! Woo hoo!?

I'm just about done with all my kanji questions. :P I would also like to thank all you other nice people who are putting up with me. ;) But anway, I was wondering, for certain compound kanji, how come they're not adjectives, and just nouns in their own right?

For example, the kanji for "mountain pass" is 山道. Alright, but wouldn't mountain be the adjective? Mountain would be the adjective and pass would be the noun, wouldn't it? Or the word garbage man, "廃物人." Wouldn't garbage be the adjective and man be the noun? Is this the way it is in Japanese dictionaries? If you want to make the word "garbage man" do you have to figure out yourself which kanji to use? Thanks.

I don't know my wife to be parents. we only met at the bible school and we churhed together until i travelled i felt in Love with her and i told her later when i travel and since we have been communicating and i send her money and all necessary now she said that she can not come to me she can only come and spend time not to live with me for more then two months and she quote the bible a man will leave his parents to cleave on his wife.. she's right she wants me to come and she will take me to her parents and i to my parents and as i do this we will organise our wedding sooner. what do you think i must do right now i am working with an oil company now and just spent 5 months here she cries everyday she want to see me i want to see her too.. and i can't leave job to go there im entitled of leave after one year in service...what should i do. advise me.

Ever get the hourglass on your screen for 10 seconds and wonder what is going on in there to make your system run so slow? I would like to be able to get a log of what ran and when so I can investigate. I have used the Task Manager processes view but it is hard to keep track of the order processes are executing in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a few drops of acetone will be placed in a watch glass and be set aside for a few minutes, what type of change is evaporation?

How if about 2mL of acetone will be placed in an evaporating dish and ignite the acetone with a lighted matchstick? What type of change is the burning of a combustible matter?

My boyfriend came to me today and said "Oh, hey... I'm going out shopping with Louise on Wednesday. You can come if you want."

I turned to him and asked, "Louise? Why are you going out with Louise?" to which he responded, "Oh, I haven't caught up with her in a while... just thought we'd meet up."

Louise used to be a part of our social group of friends... I never really got along with her and I felt quite hurt and abandoned by some of the things that she did... I lost trust in her and consequently dislike her... I've mentioned this to my boyfriend on numerous occasions and he knows how I feel.

He CONSTANTLY whinges about how much he "hates shopping" with me and whines about it at every attempt...

Am I being unreasonable to be unhappy with with my bf going out shopping (of all things!), or even MEETING UP with a girl that I dislike so much? I haven't said anything, since I don't want to seem unreasonable.

Should I be pissed that he organised to meet up with a girl I hate?

I work at a hotel and a bunch of teenagers checked in and started partying. Of course, i got a complaint. So i called the room the kids were in and told them to quiet down or i would call the police.
