Is it simply a mistaken observation, or do an abundance of religiously minded people here have difficulty with the English language? I suppose that is why I would be more likely to have faith in God than in mankind. At least God does not ceaslessly dissapoint me with ignorance.

Have any of you used Kazaa lately? I was thinking about downloading it a long time ago, but since it was illegal downloading it free, I decided not to. But I downoaded LimeWire. I like LimeWire, and that's also free downloads, but a lot of the songs I want, aren't on there. Do u think I should go ahead and download Kazaa free, and hopefully not get caught? Or stick with LimeWire, or find another downloading website? PLEASE HELP!!

There is really no reason to believe the Emperor is dead. He got knocked off the Death Star and supposedly 'fell' to his death. Why would this, logically, kill him? In A New Hope, Darth Vader is seen falling from the galaxy in his ship, spinning out of control, yet he lives. In Empire Strikes Back, Luke is sent (or jumps) over the edge of the Death Star, yet he lives. I believe the same thing happened to either Yoda or Obi Wan. So, why wouldn't the Emperor, supposedly more powerful than them all, survive a basic fall? I think he would. I think he's alive. I think there should be a 3rd Trilogy. Who else agrees/disagrees that the Emperor is dead?

I read an article about how some of the most successful relationships today are based on lies and it got me contrasting it against the conformed morale of a "text-book" example of a healthy relationships. There is no such thing as a white lie. A lie is a lie, it doesn't matter how one sugar-coats it to reaffirm themselves that it isn't one. Now we all have been duly informed of the repercussion of a lie at some point in our lives, how it destroys bonds and trust. But isn't a lie well stuck too is as good as the truth? Before someone throws down the hammer of truth listen to this example. A wife ask her husband if she looks fat in a said dress, husband lies and says she doesn't? Remember there are no such thing as a white lie. Now take that situation and multiply it by a thousand. Now, lets say the wife leads a double life, she's cheating on her husband. But she keeps both life in balance? Neither neglecting one over the other. Does that mean its ok to lie so long no one gets hurt?.

that the bible also condones eating pork and shell fish, it also says that two different seeds shall be planted in the same fiels, it has instructions on how a man must shave his beard, it has rules about when a man can or can not have sex with a woman. The bible condones owning slaves. So OK i can hear it that is in the old testament ok, well why is it that Christian are not tougher on people who get divorced. Why is it that Christians pick and choose the pieces out of the bible that are convient for them, its not a buffet

What is the worst/most rude thing someone has said to you at your job??

I have several. I work at a steakhouse.

One time I was asking a man who happened to be foreign what I could get for him and he said something which I couldn't understand and I said, "excuse me sir?" and he goes "SHE CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING!!" with a very heavy accent, but I heard him that time. I thought it was so arrogant and rude of him to get mad at me because I, a native of this nation, could not understand him.

Another time was when these guys were leaving as I was coming in and they go "hey baby, look at that fine piece of ***"--I was so upset and embarrassed. It was very degrading.

Another time a guy came up to me and told me that one of our Hispanic bus boys had picked up their stuff while they left and went to the bathroom. He proceeded to call him a "taco-eater" to my face. I got so mad at him, I had to bite my tongue unless I wanted to be fired. What are y'alls experiences? :

I haven't worked in 5 years while I was a college student, but before that, I had 2 years retail sales experience, 1 of which I was an assistant manager.
So, I'm thinking of taking a year off after I graduate from college this month, and work in a retail setting in a supervisor type of position in order to save up money for graduate school.

Would it be a good idea to take some weekend courses on Management or Retail at a community college before applying for jobs, so that I CAN get a job. Because I'm concerned that my lack of employment in the past 5 years is gonna be a problem when looking for a job.
