What disgusts me most about my race, i.e. the human race, is the willingness to believe that people should be treated differently based on the amount of melanin in their skin. That having more or less melanin than another person gives you the right to treat that person with less respect than you demand for yourself and that you are superior.

Well firstly, to answer this Q we have to go public!
Secondly the only thing that embarrasses me about my own race is the pig headed racists that tar us all with the same brush!
I'm white btw but no religious preference.

I think that what most embarrasses me about my race is ignorance. Even though we don't like to admit it, my country (Mexico) lives in a total ignorance. Mexico has not progress because we Mexicans won't open our eyes to see the truth. It's sad =(...

My 'own race' is the human race. Troll's comments make sense to me, and we lose the truth when we think our own little bit of the jigsaw is the whole picture.

The fact that I am caucasian hispanic(not half, just white-skinned hispanic), some people don't believe me when I say I'm hispanic. They think that every hispanic is dark-skinned. I am from Chile, and a lot of people there are white.

Laziness, lack of ownership and people who want to place blame on others and don't take responsibility for their own actions, playing the "victim"

Oh yeah, it's that thing where straight white men try too hard to show they 'aren't racist/sexist/homophobic' by overcompensating and getting it totally wrong. Incredibly,
honest bigotry is less revolting.

I think this is a stupid question really because the only thing that separates's us all is the colour of our skin - I think people are people -

Every race has murders
Every race has rapists
Every race has kiddy fiddlers
and so on.......... so it's makes no sense! there are bad people everywhere no matter what race they are !!!!
