I was wondering if I could get testimonials from people who have received surgery for Acid Reflux/GERD? This can be the Fundoplication surgery, as well as the less-invasive laparoscopic surgery. I'm considering surgery to help with my GERD, as I've been suffering for over 10 years with this condition.

I wa chrsitmas shopping in Bath yesterday when I saw a t shirt which read "I support single mothers" this would have been fine apart from the fact it was written under the image of a naked pole dancer, depicting the "typical" single mother. Women become single paretns for many different reasons and this kind of attitude towards us is degrading and unacceptable. I was outraged, do any of you feel the same way?

A Scottish man was at a baseball game.

It was the first time he had ever seen the sport so he sat quietly. The first batter approached the plate, took a few swings and then hit a double. Everyone was on their feet screaming "Run, Run."

This happened two more times, with a single and a triple. The Scottish man was now excited and ready to get into the game.

The next batter came up and four balls went by. The umpire called "walk" and the batter started on a slow trot to first. The Scottish man, extremely excited now, stood up and screamed, "R-R-Run man, rrrun!"

Everyone around him started laughing. So the Scottish, extremely embarrassed, sat back down. A friendly fan, seeing the Scottish man's embarrassment, leaned over and said, "He can't run -- he got four balls."

The Scottish man stood up and screamed, "Walk with pride, man... walk with pride!"

Well, I am a fairly new mom. My son is now 18 months old. I am also single and without family. I am alright with that.... it's actually taught me to be quite self sufficient and my son is a very happy and much loved boy. However, it's hard not having my own parents around to guide me.

So, I was just curious to know what other moms carry in thier cars? I am looking for good recommendations on snack foods (that aren't too messy), toys and interactive items, cleaning supplies for mess ups, etc. Really, anything that you "more experienced moms" out there could share with me, would be great!!

He does alright in the car, but sometimes does get fussy. I've given him several types of snacks, but spend too much time having to clean up the mess afterwards.

Lastly, does anyone have a good recommendation of a travel DVD player that hooks to the back of the passenger seat (in front of his carseat) that doesn' t cost too much?

There was a lot of people in my life that treated me like a doormat. Without me wanting to, it became very hard for me to trust people. Now I met a wonderful guy, we have been together for a year, but there are just some things that keep telling me i dont trust him as much as i would like. I know he is a wonderful person and would never do anything to hurt me, but sometimes i will react in bizzare ways to some insignificant comment or a joke, and he feels that something is keeping me from trusting him completely. I seem to have the same trust issues with some of my friends, and even my mom. How do I remedy this (short of going to a shrink?)

I have been dating a guy from September until now. I haven't slept with him or even kissed him and we've only truly hung out a couple of times but talk on the phone on the regular. He likes to come to the library and watch me study. A couple of days ago I wanted to advance our relationship to another level (us exclusively dating) but he says he's not looking for that right now. He constantly tells me I'm mad cool and that I would be a great mother. I know he likes me cause he is still around. Should I still keep waiting on him to get his stuff together or just cut him off completely?

In one it appears that Achan is the son of Carmi, because it says "son of Carmi." In the others, it seems he is the son of Zehra, because it says "the son of Zehra."
I know that many believe the bible is inerrant and infallible. Therefore it must be some sort of misinterpretation.
Is this scripture "out of context" or is it "not meant to be taken literally"? I've included a link to various versions of the bible so I don't think it's a "mistranslation" or that "son" actually meant something else. I think it must be a "misinterpretation" as this has always been a go-to answer. By stating that it's a misinterpretation, no one is obligated to give evidence of the right answer, or how to go about obviating misinterpretation in the first place.
