the answer is B
y=65+20x
because he starts with 65 cards he got from his aunt (65)
Then, every week he buy 20 more cards(20x)
So, in order to find out how many cards he has, you multiply the 20(because thats how many he buy each week) by the number of weeks he has been collecting.

gotta luv multiple choice...
After 1 week he has 65+20=85 cards (x=1, y=85)
After 2 weeks, 85+20=105 cards (x=2, y=105)
Plug in these values into a, b, c, d and see if they work...

it would be y=65+20x bcoz,he has the 65 cards with him,and each week he gains 20.so if u think x is the no. of weeks,then if x=1,2,3,4.......u ll get the amount of cards he has in 1st,2nd,3rd weeks respectively..
hope this helped

Make a chart -- show how many baseball cards he has after 0 weeks, 1 week, 2 weeks etc. then compare them to charts you make for each equation.
e.g. the chart for answer c will say:
x, y
0, 20
1, 21
2, 22
