-- good midwife
-- supportive husband
-- nobody else to interfere
-- nice home w/large tub, & 2-person shower...
-- good health
-- hospital nearby

But

-- 1st pregnancy
-- possibly limited tolerance for pain

I'm still not clear on just what midwives are licensed to prescribe here (Ontario), but the only thing that appeals to me about a hospital is being able to lounge in bed for a couple of days afterwards while other people bring me meals and tidy up. It seems a post-partum doula would solve the latter problem, though.

We have a brand new dating relationship (4 dates after this weekend) and I was wondering what to get her for X-mas. She wants to take things on her pace which is slower than mine. What kind of gift can I give without it being too much?

I don't know if this will help but when my grandma died 12 years ago on Dec 5th we started a ceremony that we have continued yearly At midnight on Christmas eve we all gather to light a candle for each of our loved ones that has passed before us.Thye used to have luminary kits but can't find those anymore so we just use those gift bags that you fold over we put cat litter in or if you are lucky enough to have sand you can use sand use long burning candles(the ones called emergency candles the white ones) work reallly well we light a candle for each person and say something about them anyone can say what they want to the person and light the candle. we then leave them outside to burn all night I always check the next morn to see wh's is stil, burning(I use different scenes on bags for each person) It always makes us cry but it is healing at the same time and allows us a moment of silence for those we miss and love. last year was the hardest one ever

Took it in to the shop to have it diagnosed and of course they recommend going with the most expensive top of the line replacement. If Im shopping for a motherboard and processor can I go with any brand and have it compatible with all my other parts?, I do realize I might have to get new ram depending on what I go with. The fried parts were an AMD 900 and had it for almost 7 years.

My baby is 4½ months old, and is eating cereals and bottled baby foods. Her stool has recently become very strange and varying in color (and I mean tecnicolour, if you'll excuse the description!) Is it normal, and why is this?

ok. Please dont judge, because I know some will, and im not looking for that.
Since my husband and I got married, it has been nothing but hell. He was mentally and physically abusive, very controlling over everything I did. My husband used to have a drug problem, but told me he had quite. Two years went by, and I recently find out he's still using. I was so depressed, one night I ended up using with him, and to say the least I had an anxiety attack and ended up in the hospital for the weekend. We also have a 2 yr old son together.
When I got out of the hospital, I did alot of thinking, and felt for the sake of our son, and myself, it was not healthy for us to be together. We tried working out a schedule, but he said himself he had not planned on giving my son back to me when his visitations would be over.
I got a parenting plan and filed for divorce. Ive been going to counceling, im clean, working, doing everything I can.

Okay, yet another one of those "should I call her" questions. But the specifics: I've really connected to this one woman, and I've gone out with her four times. The last two times, I was rather self-conscious around her, because of the social situation (one was a company party, another was seeing her with some friends of hers from way back). She seems to vacillate between enjoying being around me, to being uncomfortable - I'm not sure if it's shyness, or her reevaluating how much she likes me. The last time I saw her, right as I dropped her off at her apartment, she declared that the next time I'd see her would be sometime after Christmas (she's leaving the country in two weeks for a three week trip). I hoped to have an opportunity to send her off... could she be gently letting me go? Or should I take her at face value, and call her up?
