My dad doesn't want me to move out, because he wants me to focus on getting my MBA. Since I have to work for a couple of years in order to get into a good MBA program, there's no way of getting my MBA sooner. I really want my independence and I have always been scared of my father. I've never done anything against my father's wishes, and I'm having a lot of trouble gathering the courage to confront him.

When I first asked him about it, I asked if I could move in with my boyfriend, since I would be splitting half the rent. From this, he forbade me to move and thinks I will get side tracked and forget about advancing my career.

I know I'm 22 and legally am able to do what i want, but I need some advice for daughters who are too scared to confront their fathers.

Please note: He has never hit me, but then again, I have rarely given him reasons to.

well there was this boy who goes to my school and i don't kno him but he knos me and well he really likes me. and he started sending me this really sweet notes and i started to like him too but then he sent me one note and i totally forgot about it and i didn't write back becuz i was like stressed wit school and stuff. and now he hates my guts.. i just talked to him on aim becuz he's friends wit my friend and he called me a hoe and stuff and well he doesn't believe tht i really like him back and tht i'm reallly truly sorry. wht should i do?????!!!! i just got a new laptop brand new not even a week old. it was running fast as hell. booted it up today and it running really slow and i dont know why. i have not installed anything on it so why would it be running slow????

my mom had reactions to my puppy Toby (a.k.a the Tobester)(he was a dachsund/beagle mix) so we had to give him away after awhile. I know she felt bad and we are thinking about trying to find another pup

perferrably medium and smaller, but any suggestions/ thoughts would do.

The ACLU is vehemently opposed to anything not inclusive, that is unless it fits their pre-determined agendas. They should call themselves the Anti-Civil Liberties Union, since destroying our allocated liberties is what they do.

Lliberty, established by the 14th-15th ammendment, guarantees us the right to be an individual, so long as it is not forced. They take this to the extreme saying that Christmas is forcing Christianity. But they fail to realize to realize that without an audience free speach is useless.

Funny though, the ACLU omits Halloween, a marquee day for Pagans and Satanists. (though it should be noted that "all Hallos-eve" stems from All-Saints Day (Catholic). In fact they oppose efforts by Christians to thwart that holiday.... Ironic, no?

Some liberal philosophy is beneficial and most is well intentioned, but relentless attacks on public Christianity are not. Stick to policy imposed by GOVERNMENT, not individuals. The ACLU is a friend to who they choose to be.

He moved out in January, tried counselling for one month, became distant cheated in February then by March he was sorry for everything and wanted to come back. Gave him a chance until June when he said that he was depressed again, felt that things were still the same and couldn't see how to make it work. Since June there has been barely any contact with the exception of a family bbq and 2 funerals. I keep waiting it out thinking that he'll change his mind but fear that the more time that passes the easier it will be for him to forget and move on. Which is why I pose my question it will be a year since he moved out in January.
