The reason for the war in Iraq is so George .w. Bush could pay back Saddam Hussein for trying to kill his father. And it back fired big time. The only way to get out of it now is to put your tail between your legs and walk-away.The wars effect on the economy is over 100 Billion dollars.Imagine what the Border Patrol could do with that kind of money.People are going to say it's for terrorism, But the fact is the Iraqis had nothing to do with it. Osama did!!!! And the only ones after him are a handful of American soldiers and the Canadians. Thank GOD for our soldiers....

1. Colin Powell went before the UN and said we had evidence that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and that he supported al qaeda. The UN passed a mandate calling for SH to give up his WMDs and allow full inspections or he would face UN action. When the deadline passed we started amassing troops and went ahead with our Shock and Awe and entered the country. We later found out that the "evidence" was a pack of lies.

2. I think we'll be in Iraq for a very long time. When did we defeat Germany and Japan? When did we leave? The answer to the firt is 1945 the answer to the second is that we are still there over 60 years later. If we can get the media to let the military do its job instead of bombarding us with every single military death then we can get this job done.

3. Certain industries such as munitions and armor producers have seen a boon and have hired more workers, of course we are spending billions on the war and that necessitates us taking out more bonds which is putting our country in more and more debt.
