The ACLU is vehemently opposed to anything not inclusive, that is unless it fits their pre-determined agendas. They should call themselves the Anti-Civil Liberties Union, since destroying our allocated liberties is what they do.

Lliberty, established by the 14th-15th ammendment, guarantees us the right to be an individual, so long as it is not forced. They take this to the extreme saying that Christmas is forcing Christianity. But they fail to realize to realize that without an audience free speach is useless.

Funny though, the ACLU omits Halloween, a marquee day for Pagans and Satanists. (though it should be noted that "all Hallos-eve" stems from All-Saints Day (Catholic). In fact they oppose efforts by Christians to thwart that holiday.... Ironic, no?

Some liberal philosophy is beneficial and most is well intentioned, but relentless attacks on public Christianity are not. Stick to policy imposed by GOVERNMENT, not individuals. The ACLU is a friend to who they choose to be.

You mean the "agenda creating liberals union" or "another crazy laywer undermining.."? I can't understand anything they do. I agree with most of what you said. Of course there are times that they fight for good causes but like you said it has to benefit them or one group, that in turns benefits them. You can't admire a group that can take a stand for one thing and then contradict themselves by taking the opposite stance later.

Actually, there was a wonderful article I saw last week about some folks who decided to, in protest, go carrolling in front of the ACLU headquarters.

They were a bit surprised when the doors opened, the ACLU folks came out, joined them in the singing, and shared some hot drinks with them.

The ACLU isn't against Christmas, per se. It's against institutionalized preferential treatment to a particular group. Christmas decorations are perfectly okay - but if they're on public land, non-Christian decorations need to be allowed as well. That's all. Shouldn't be that big of an issue, but too many people see that attempt to offer equality to all as being an attack.

Liberals are professional-lack of existence? WTF?!? let's have a look at, the some distance-good are professional-existence yet do not provide a damn once the youngster is born yet liberals, who're professional-decision, have the most social courses accessible after the infant is born. isn't it humorous how maximum professional-lifers are also professional-lack of existence penalty? they favor to guard the fetus yet as quickly because it truly is born & grown, they haven't any problem killing the guy. I scent hypocrisy. And why are professional-lifers so fanatical? it truly is compared to they have any moral help for thier position. before you go touting about how god loves the sons and daughters, that's organic BS. go lower back an study your fairy-tale bible. count number what percentage circumstances god reported to kill the ladies & little ones; rip open the pregnant women; sprint the more youthful ones adversarial to a stone. All this being reported to the gag holy hebrew human beings retch. one extra aspect - do not attempt the cop out that it replaced into the old testomony. You xtians preserve you've a three-in-a million god so as which ability jebus replaced into good there at the same time as maximum of those commandments were being dished out. So - to respond to your question, Liberals hate the octomom (sounds like a Cthulhu cultist, doesn't it?) no longer because liberals are professional-lack of existence yet because the Octo is a egocentric beyatch who idea in problem-free words of herself in bringing extra youthful ones into the international than she ought to probably preserve. She is now a burden on society, taxpayers ought to ought to %. up the tag for her egocentric needs. i believe that bill must be handed on to the fool healthcare professional who gave her the fertility drugs!

You make me almost embarrassed to be a conservative.

"Liberty, established by the 14th-15th amendment, guarantees us the right to be an individual, so long as it is not forced."

Wow. The first 3/4s of that sentence is false. The last 1/4 is incomprehensible nonsense.

And I'm not going to go any further dissecting the rest of this rant.

So, no, as much as I disagree with the ACLU itself, in terms of how they interpret the Establishment Clause, I can't bring myself to agree with you, either.

The ACLU does not take positions or stances on anything. They litigate individual rights for all citizens, they are not a political party, they exist to stop government from taking your rights away.

In the rare instances where actual cases involved are mentioned in rants like this against the ACLU, the details are usually wrong. This question doesn't even bother to do that. It's just a repeat of the right wing caricature of the ACLU that I've heard for years.

They don't hate Christmas...they just want other religions to be included in holiday celebrations.
Christians seem to forget Christmas is a holiday which came from a Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstace..in fact, Easter also came from the Pagans.
Religions like to steal rituals and celebrations from each other...
Am I wrong?

I don't think liberals hate Christmas, I just think everybody is getting overly concerned with political correctness by trying to make sure all views/groups are represented. I wish there wasn't such a big deal about it, but saying liberals hate Christmas is just a loaded statement that isn't deserving of much attention.

even though i usally ignore these type of rants, i will still answer your question.

THERE IS NO WAR ON CHRISTMAS!
GET OVER IT!
the constitution forbids establishment of a religion, which using tax $$ that a person has to pay, for religious purposes, is in fact forcing them to support a religion they do not believe in!
you do understand what unconsitutional means right?

it doesn't mean it is unconstitutional, because you think your rights are far more important than anyone elses, and that everyone else should finance your personal beliefs, it means exactly the opposite, GET OVER IT!

personally, i think republicans would love to see the government quit financing Christmas decorations, considering it would just be one more tax cut the govenrment could give!
but i guess you people only support wsteful spending that isn't on your fellow Americans! you only support spending if it is to finance your beliefs!

I'm sure the mayor where you live would be more than happy to let your church pay for the Christmas decorations...you could even volunteer to put them up like people do around my hometown!

ACLU is a communist organization whose mission it is to destroy America. The sad thing, Democrats have signed on to assist. Sounds like treason to me!
