Please, serious replies if you can muster 'em. Writing a novel, need white male input. Character is a college professor, married to a professional black woman who is having an "identity crisis" based on her discovery that he's been having an affair with one of his students (a WHITE girl). Sort of stuck on the reasons he might have been "attracted" to his (black) wife, and how her insecurities might affect him on a psychological level. Don't want to make it about race, but I don't have much research to go on other than my own relationships with white men, which haven't necessarily been anything like what I'm writing. Any information on how white men approach women of color, in particular black women, and what are their expectations going into a relationship--the factors that would lead to a marriage between two very different psychologies based on American history of slavery, and the ambivalence that has ensued between them. The tank is 24" and standard size. I'm in Aus so I have no idea how many Gallons it is. After putting the plants in the water started turing green and the plands lost there colour and died. I have Chiclids and Bristle nose Catfish who seem to take an intrest in dead leaves. Not sure what has caused water to go browny - doesn't look like much alge. may be caused by Chlorphil from dead plants going into the water ?? maybe i need more light ?? I mixed fertalizer in when I first put in the gravel.

I also note that some of the plants had begun to shoot out roots before the died

Does anyone know where I can purchase replacement "euro" plugs? My local electronics store recently discontinued them and nobody else in town seems to sell them. Of course, any source will need to accept mail order, internet, or telephone orders.

Details: This is the small two-prong ungrounded male AC power plug connector used in low-power consumer electronics throughout Europe. In Germany, these are often called "Schuko" plugs.

Notice I want the plug itself, not an adapter or replacement power cord. I intend to snip off the existing plug from a cord (attached to items purchased in other countries, for example) and replace it with this plug in a semi-permanent installation. The type of electrical connection is unimportant (crimp, solder, or screw).

After they got control of Congress, the GOP couldn't wait to run up government spending to payoff their political constituants, along with cutting taxes so those same cronies had to pay less taxes on those payoffs. The GOP officials seems to be busy trying to have cybersex with underage girls and boys. The non-guilty are running around covering up for the guilty. Lastly, the GOP are constantly planning anti-gay policies but when no one's looking they're jumping in bed with the next male prositute. They're even stupid enought to get caught on all this stuff months before a national election. I really think the GOP has lost themselves...I want to know what you think.

How do I pronounce "nuoc cham", the vietnamese dipping sauce? For instance, is it "nook" (rhymes with "book") or is it "nuke" (as in
"nuke it in the microwave"?) Or another way; do I pronounce the "o"? And I think the "cham" part... "cham", as rhyming with the name "Tom", am I right? Anyway, please be specific as to get the pronunciation across, or give me a word that it rhymes with. Thanks! :)

You have two ropes. Each rope takes one hour to burn. The ropes are not homogeneous, in other words if you cut the rope in half the two halves will not burn for a half hour each. Create a way to burn a rope for exactly 15 minutes. You can light the ropes as many times as you want and stop the fire as much as you want. But the ropes can only be light from the ends.

Hint: Cutting the ropes will only hurt you seeing as how you will know nothing.

I have had conditions that cause me to faint .I'm 5'2 and 110 lbs which makes it occur more. It's embarrassing for me to whine and show how dizzy I'm feeling around people because I don't want to annoy my friends and I want to just be myself. On several occasions, my boyfriend Shane has been there to catch me when this happens and put me in my bed or on a sofa where he is always there when I wake up. This past week though, I was at a bar with my friends and I passed out again, only this time I woke up in Shane's friend's car, Sam with my skirt ripped and my top that tied in the back undone. My drunk best friend claimed she heard him say something about Shane saying (while drunk) that he has been so tempted to take advantage of him, but this was said before I passed out. He was very offended when I confrontend him about this later and claims it came undone and torn when I fell. Who should I believe?? What do you think really happened?
