Its gonna be for about 4days. We might stop by Stone Mountain for the adventure and we know about the "Forest Gump" park bench...we'll be sure to get a picture there! But its gonna be our second trip. Each year we (Grandma & the 4 grandkids) take a trip somewhere (not like Paris, we cannot afford that!) around the USA! & we dont want to fly because that takes the fun out of a "Road Trip." This year weve decided on Georgia. Savannah as a center focus. We imagine seeing these rolling hills, beautiful plantations, over-grown tree covered dirt roads and huge houses with wrap around porches with swings. Basically, everything you seen as Forest Gump's home. If you know of any places that would be memorable and a great photo shot, PLEASE TELL ME! The only thing I could find was adventure parks & stone mountain. thank you for taking the time to read this.....sincerely, Grandbaby

Hi :)
My husband has wonderful characteristics, he is responsible, loving, trustworthy, and so on, I fell in love with him because of all his wonderful charactersitics. The only problem is that I was raised to be very family and friend oriented, but he was raised to be more individualistic, I get bored lots of times cause he stays at home most of his free time, he never even mentions getting togheter with a group of friends and have fun. I just moved to this country a year ago so I counted on him to connect with friends, but he has none :(
Is it kinda an american thing to be individualistic, or is it my husband's personality?

Two twin boys and one girl: ages 3 (the twins) and 6 months (the girl)

I have been nannying for this family for a while now and feel like I am getting ripped off. They are sweet kids, and I wanted to set a reasonable rate for an an average-moderate income family. What would YOU personally expect for three little kids?

Please tell me:
What stereotype do you use the most often?
By using a stereotype I mean: discern a situation or the character of someone based upon a stereotype you have for a group in which they SEEM to belong.

We have a corn snake that started off in a 10 gallon tank and he outgrew that and went to a 25 gallon tank in just a little over a year. He is now too long for this tank too; but he's skinny, not fat like some of the other corn snakes we have seen in pet stores. Do I really need to give him a bigger tank. I worry he will grow longer if I keep upping his tank size.
FYI he is hand tamed and gets "exercise" in the bath tub about once a week.

Okay, most of you have heard that lovely old English carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas--that one in which Truelove gives, over the twelve days (Dec.25--Jan. 5):
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five gold rings...
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle-doves
and a partridge in a pear tree.

Got it? Good. Here's the challenge:
Write and share with us YOUR version of this old favorite.
Funny or sad, sacred or stupid, ancient or modern, let's see what you Yahooers can come up with!
The usual 10 big points for the best, extra karma points for originality, and let's try and keep the gross ones for another question. (And watch that cat-flinging, too)--
And remember, we ought to be able to sing it!
Take your time, have fun, --Go For It!

Will this planet continue to war with each other, one continent at a time? Africa will probably be the next conflict on a world scale when (or if) the middle east settles down....and then South America will probably follow. Either way, is violence part of our nature or not, will we ever EVOLVE past this?

My friend and I were in the fastlane on the freeway probably going 55 mph. the traffic slowed down to 10-20 mph very abruptly and a collision with the car in front of us almost occurred. Traffic started moving forward again, then she (my friend) began to move forward and we looked at each other with the thought of "WOW, that WAS close" (It was for a split second) Then when we looked back to the road, the car in front of us was now completley stopped and sure enough we hit them. We do not know what happened. We don't know if a collision had already occured and we drove into it.We also don't know if she hit the car and then caused that car to hit the car in front of it and so on until 5 cars became involved. We were in a newer Ford truck (full size)I've been told by a reliable source that a vehicle would have a hard time causing that large of a chain reaction going roughly 30-35 mph...Fortunatley, almost everybody involved seemed OK, and no airbags deployed... This is where I need your advice, My friend did not have her policy renewed since 4-5 months ago. The police officer took her old policy number anyways and let us go. She doesn't know what to do and I don't know what to tell her. She doesn't care about the truck but is scared beyond belief about all the other cars and drivers. Her truck was still able to opperate.I need sound advice to help calm her down, She thinks her life is over... Please, honesty is good but don't try and scare us more unless you know it's the absolute truth. Yes she knows her policy was probably expired but she didn't know it happened 4-5 months ago. I know this girl, she is a good person, The only reason she didn't have insurance is because she has no money, She doesn't drink or smoke and is still barely scraping by paycheck to paycheck, All her money is going to her lawyer expenses from a bad divorce, and all the bills associated with it. This just happened today Does somebody out there know what she might be facing?
