There's this guy I'm attracted to. We've been really good friends for a long time but never romantically involved. I've been going through a lot lately and he's really been there for me. I feel really close to him, he loves my kids and they're crazy about him. He says he'd like us to spend more time together but he's going through a bad breakup. I know I should probably back off an let him resolve that but it's so hard, I really care about him. I would be so hurt if he decided to give his relationship another chance. I really don't know what to do. I don't want to lose him as a friend but things are so much more complicated now that we've slept together. What do I do now?

Yet another reason to quit, this article came out this week:
"Future smokers may be programmed in the womb to take up the habit later in life, research published on Tuesday said.

Scientists in Australia have discovered that children of women who smoked during pregnancy were more likely to become smokers than other youngsters.

They suggest nicotine from cigarettes passes through the placenta and may act directly on the developing brain of the unborn child."

..... "Children of the 1,000 women who had smoked during pregnancy were three times more likely to start smoking by the age of 14 and twice as likely afterwards compared to other children."

For the sake of this question. Let's say that Roe V Wade gets overturned by the US Supreme court and that challenge gets upheld by all the legal challenges and the U.S. finally makes abortions illegal other than in the case of medically necessary conditions, or rape or incest. In other words, abortion can no longer be an elected procedure.

At the same time, we all know that if a person morally opposes a law or feels it is unfair or does not understand the reason for the law, they will find a way around the law or ignore the law. (Case in point: how many people follow the speed limit, even though driving at a higher speed is proven to be more dangerous).

So, here's my question to you: How will outlawing abortions truly eliminate the slaughter of the unborn children? Is your goal to make them illegal or to stop the slaughter?

Think about your answer in terms of if abortions were now illegal. Will it REALLY stop the abortions, or just create more problems?

While running my Victorian Timepiece Warehouse, I have noticed a trend that the women all prefer the men who have enormous clocks. This one posh bird ditched the guy she was with, he had a tiny Timex, for a Brother with an enormous Ebony Grandfather clock that swung low and slow.
She said her original partners' ticked too fast, had no depth and went off without warning just after getting up time!
I find it far more common for ladies to bring in their tiny little clocks and trade them in for something much larger especially if the clock they are currently using has a small face and no girth. They usually request "A good Tall, thick Woody with plenty of life in it's spring" usually a newer model than the tired old ones they have at present.
Anyone else noticed this trend?
