show improvement on the recruit who was blanket partied? does it serve a purpose of making the recruit perform better? did it make the screwup straighten out OR did it only punished him with NO increase in performance? im in the process of being a witness of a drill instructor encouraging recruits to do blankt parties and to be honest, my testimony will put him in the brig for a LONG time. just want to hear "advice" before i testify

I know a guy (1) who isn't really a friend, but his behaviors confused me. We chatted twice last week, and on both occasions he tried to get me to talk about another guy (2). He suspected guy 2 and doesn't trust him. Since he doesn't know guy 2, I don't think it's his business as to what kind of person guy 2 is or why I trust guy 2, so I said little about guy 2. He got mad because of this. I guess he was trying to show he was concerned about me and wanted to help, although I still don't know why a total stranger could anger him so, or why it bothered him that I might've chosen the wrong type of friend. It really isn't his business, and I don't see why my welbeing should be his concern when we aren't really friends yet. Would you find such a person nosy or caring? Why? Thanks for your analysis.

ok someone please explain to me how you can not be sexually attracted to someone but allow, beg even, to be kissed, fondled, stroked and fingered by that person, told they can't live without you, that you have a special connection...sounds cheesy but this is what is going on with me as her self proclaimed "kinda-sorta" boyfriend...........

America's history is built upon mass immigration: unless you're Native American your family came here recently. The difference with immigrants today is that the nation is no longer expanding, and no longer has a frontier to colonize. Before, we could handle all the population growth we could get, and prosper from it, but we are no longer expanding and have limited resources.

What are your thoughts on how (or if) this changes the effects of immigration from what they were while the US was expanding?

Today it seems as if men want independent women more than ever but they still want a clean house and prepared meals. Men have always had the job of providing and I think today this is not that important as both partners tend to work. (even with small kids)

Yes I did post a plea for help for my daughter, she doesn't know about it but I thought maybe someone out there would have a little Christmas spirit to help in the community instead of giving bad advice about charities that dont help with a car to go to work or get her a better job, and no Potterville is a tiny village with no jobs and Charlotte she has all apps in and no call backs, family is me with a full time job and cant drive her to her job, no bus line, Dad is a deadbeat no child support and she did have her tubes tied and did use birth control, Grandma here wanted her to get an abortion, and right to life talks like they would help but once the baby is here do they pay the heat or mortgage while she works for Macds there is no jobs for woman who want to work 40 hours while the 2 others are in school, and why do right to life want more kids in the world , my daughter loves her kids, but she needs a good car and a40 hour a week job too, so once the kid is here where is right TL

dated two people at the same time? and what is the outcome?

I have a BF, but have flirted with another guy for a while now. To make a long story short, he really likes me even though I've told him I am not looking for a boyfriend. Anyway, I'm still not looking, but can't help, but think a few dates are probably not gonna hurt. I don't plan telling my BF because I know I don't want to leave him.

The new guy is extremely attractive and that I haven't dated for a long time since getting together with my BF. I kinda miss that. I really don't want to just skip him and regret it later. I figure if I go out with him a few times, it might give me a whole new perspective on certain things. What do you think I should do?

my four year old daughter will not say sorry or apologize, she is very stubborn.. if for any reason we send her to time out she doesn't mind staying there for a long time...she sometimes sleeps or just talks to herself so it is not about the place we do the time out in....she doesn't say sorry at the end of the time and most of the time she doesn't move even if we tell her she can....any advice on how to get her to apologize and how to solve the time out dillema.....basically how to deal with a stubboron preschooler.

i tried to apologize in front of her in different situations didn't work
