well, i hadn't had a period since february, and i finally went on Yasmin (a type of birth control) that will regulate my hormone deficiencies that were causing my lack of periods.
i started my period on tuesday (day before i started the inactive pills) and it stayed very light and no big deal until yesterday (saturday) it was still light, but i had VERY intense cramps.. so bad i was doubled over and in tears... pamprin/ibu/nothing! would help the cramps. i even tried a heating pad with no luck.
through the night i bled through 2 super absorbency tampons, and upon waking up, i bled through a super in 45 minutes.. and the blood was like pouring out.. and i had HUGE chunks coming out too... by huge i mean a couple inches long, about 1/4 inch thick.. it was so gross..
but what i'm asking, is this normal? do i just have a whole lot of lining to shed since i didn't have a period in so long? or should i call my gyno to let her know about this?
