You're right in a sense. When we are young and ignorant its more important but as we age we and become wiser we realize that looks are skin deep. Your looks get you all the superficial things you want in this world unfortunately looks alone dont get you (true)love, peace of mind, and wisdom...those things you cant put a price on because they truley are priceless...worth more than anything you can put a price on in this world. You may not get that when you're young and dumb, but everyone realizes it sooner or later.

It depends om your maturity level. If you have completely matured as a human being you will learn that they are not all that important. Remember, maturity has nothing to do with how old you are , it's your attitude that counts.

Because lots of people are ulgy, but stil want to be important. It's one of the big things about the Femenist movement....it allows ulgy woman into places of power.

People don't want to be perceived as shallow. You're right--looks shouldn't matter, but to most people, they do.

they are to a certain extent but it's what's on the inside that really counts in the long run
