well, i hadn't had a period since february, and i finally went on Yasmin (a type of birth control) that will regulate my hormone deficiencies that were causing my lack of periods.

i started my period on tuesday (day before i started the inactive pills) and it stayed very light and no big deal until yesterday (saturday) it was still light, but i had VERY intense cramps.. so bad i was doubled over and in tears... pamprin/ibu/nothing! would help the cramps. i even tried a heating pad with no luck.

through the night i bled through 2 super absorbency tampons, and upon waking up, i bled through a super in 45 minutes.. and the blood was like pouring out.. and i had HUGE chunks coming out too... by huge i mean a couple inches long, about 1/4 inch thick.. it was so gross..

but what i'm asking, is this normal? do i just have a whole lot of lining to shed since i didn't have a period in so long? or should i call my gyno to let her know about this?

This is probably normal for your situation. I suspect you had a lot of lining to shed and that accounts for the period being so heavy. When I was having normal periods, the first few days would be almost as heavy as you are describing. I would bleed through a super absorbency tampon in 1-2 hours with the same chunks that you describe(they are actually clots). By the third day, I could use regular absorbency tampons. As long as it doesn't last for more than 7 days and you feel ok, then don't worry about it. If the severe cramps continue tomorrow or you feel light headed/dizzy, I would call the GYN first thing in the morning.

This may be normal due to the time since your last period but I just got my period after I had my son and he is 10 months and you are pregnant for 9 months and my period is as normal as it always was. I to was afraid my period would be very heavy when I finely got it again but it turns out it wasn't. On the other hand I had a friend that when she did get it after 5-6 months was very bad like you describe yours and ended up in the hospital due to so much blood lost. My best advice to you women to women is if you feel scared or concerned call your doctor who better to let you know about your health then you doctor. Good luck and hope everything go's well.

It's always better to be safe than sorry so I would suggest that you go in for a check up. I do believe that this could be normal and probably is. You could just be have alot of hormonal changes from this new pill. I would see what next month brings to you and if it's this bad again then I would go to the doc and find out why. I myself have REALLY heavy periods and my doctor says that it is fine. I know what you mean about going through the tampons. I have gone through a super plus in 30 minutes. Just hang in there. I hope it gets better for you.

When I haven't had my period for a few months (because I have that problem too) I often have extremely heavy periods. And it's simply because your body is readjusting to having anormal hormones. Don't stress out about it unless the period lasts a longer time than expected or if it keeps being incredibly heavy period after period, call your doctor and see if you can get a different pill for your body.

I think (although, am no expert...) it may seem like you are hemmoraging, but it may be just because you have a buildup on uterine wall from not menustrating for so many months. That would account for the clots. Consult your doctor just to play it safe. You might want to take an iron supplement. I have had heavy periods like that and feel weak & run-down after due to lack of iron.

What you describe isn't scuffling with, your canines are purely playing. NIpping is merely a canines way of asserting "get up and permit's play". Neither one seems, from what you positioned up, to be attempting to dominate the different, they are merely being canines, and why in the worldwide do you attempt to stop it? Interfering for no reason, different than the actuality which you will, will purely create a difficulty between 2 canines that at this element look to have a enormously solid courting. stop stressful approximately who's dominiating who......it particularly is old hat theory in any case. go away them on my own, and that they are going to take care of any issues that upward push up merely effective

I think it's normal, because you have had such a long time in-between your periods. If you really feel worried, or if it continues with that kind of intensity, you should call your OB-GYN because losing too much blood can make you anemic. It should slow down and lessen in the amount.

Sounds normal to me. Try to relax. Your body has a lot of cleaning to do and it is doing its job. Periods vary from month to month in their intensity anyway. If it lasts more than a week or if you have other symptoms go and see your OBGYN.

Anytime you are passing clots like that your should call your Dr. What you are describing sounds much like a miscarriage.
