But to answer the question, EVERYONE.

Thank you very much, while you're up!

The Republican neocons cooked the books and beat a drum of urgency to start the war. Not all of the Republicans were for it, and some, like Trent Lott, were directly lied to about the so-called threat by Cheney. The Democrats didn't vote for war. They voted, in good bipartisan fashion, to give the president the authority to act because they, like their Republican colleagues, were sold a bill of goods. They're at fault for not asking for all of the facts before allowing Bush to put the military into operation. Bush took advantage of the post-9/11 bipartisanship, went way too far and started a war of choice--you know, that Bush Doctrine thingie that Palin didn't know about. If Bush and company hadn't lied to the American people and rushed to war in campaign mode, he wouldn't have squandered the goodwill of not just the American people, but the entire planet, to include Iran. The decision to go to war was Bush's, and he was the head of the Republicans as POTUS. Then Sen. Obama voted against it, and history has proven his vote right. Meanwhile, in my job I've seen way too many memorials for comrades who died in Iraq. I'm a liberal, and i don't say 100 percent about this. There are no absolutes, there are always shades of gray. I politely submit that you've generalized.

Who ever divided up the lands of the Middle East after WW 1. They gave lands to leaders that in truth had no claim to them. In some cases (like the Kurds) they split up ethnic groups and in other cases grouped together ethnic groups that couldn't get along (Iraq for example) They reneged on their promise to give land to the Jews. (because of squawking Arabs) So the land over there has been a ticking time bomb for nearly a century. There are no simple answers . to the problems over there.

I think that Saddam is whos is to blame. He needed to be taken out. the way that he killed people and let his people starve someone had to do something. the reason the war is still going on is the United States fault. we should not still be over their fighting. Bush is really the one to blame for this. This should have been over a long time ago.. Even though i do not support the war I do support our troops.

well they started it with the 9/11 attack. We when over there and kicked butt. Now were still over there for i don't know why. I understand there country is messed up but don't dragg our people over there for nothing. It's been like what a good more than a couple years and were just over there getting killed there is no pride in that. I feel bad for the men and women over there who should really be home with there families. It's BUSH who is responsible for this. his continues this so called war. If he is so concerned i say put his a** on a d*** plane and let him fight it.

Let's see...if there was a very, very bad man who lived in a house down the road, and you threw a brick through his window because he was such a bad man and certainly deserved it, no doubt about it, whose fault would it be that the window was broken?
