A husband and wife are traveling by car from Key West to Boston. After almost
twenty-four hours on the road, they're too tired to continue, and they decide
to stop for a rest. They stop at a nice hotel and take a room, but they only
plan to sleep for four hours and then get back on the road.

When they check out four hours later, the desk clerk hands them a bill for
$350. The man explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells
the clerk that although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth
$350. When the clerk tells him that $350 is the standard rate, the man insists
on speaking to the manager.

The manager listens to the man and then explains that the hotel has an
Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for the
husband and wife to use. He also explains that they could have taken in one of
the shows for which the hotel is famous. ''The best entertainers from New York,
Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here'', explains the manager. No matter what
facility the manager mentions, the man replies, ''But we didn't use it!'' The
manager is unmoved and eventually the man gives up and agrees to pay. He
writes a check and gives it to the manager.

The manager is surprised when he looks at the check. ''But sir,'' he says, ''this
check is only made out for $100.'' ''That's right,'' says the man. ''I charged
you $250 for sleeping with my wife.'' ''But I didn't!'' exclaims the manager.
''Well,'' the man replies, '' she was here, and you could have.''

The school was in Tampa, Florida. I moved there for a year because of my parents' business. I was the only chinese person in the whole school.

A college student decides to try bungee jumping. He attaches an elastic bungee cord to his ankles and jumps off a tall bridge across a river. He ends up barely touching the water before the cord jerks him back up.

Which assumptions are reasonable to make in this problem?

A. The student can be treated as a particle moving with constant speed.

B. The student can be treated as a particle moving with constant acceleration.

C. The student cannot be treated as a particle.

D. The air resistance is substantial.

E. The air resistance is negligible.

F. The amount of heat generated in the bungee cord is substantial.

G. The amount of heat generated in the bungee cord is negligible.

I. The bungee cord applies a constant (or zero) force on the student.

J. The bungee cord can be modeled as a spring that obeys Hooke's law.

And it can be multiple assumptions...thanks for the help as I can't seem to be getting a right answer.

Hi
I'm in year 7 right now, so i've just started high school...
My name is a four lettered name but it's a foreign/asian name, so most of the type everyone/teachers get it wrong.

So i'm thinking of changing my name, to a Japanese/Korean name. I'm a korean person but Japanese comes in because of the huge influence Japan & one special jpop/rock artist has on me. Some/most people are used to my original name, but I long to change it...

Do you think it's too late? Should I stick with it, or is it okay to get a new one???

P.S: I've already searched through millions of names... ^^
P.P.S: Do you know any nice japanese/korean name? Beginning with “y” thanks.

* I know this may sound humerous to some, but please do not waste my time (or yours) making immature jokes *. . . I have to use the bathroom several times per day-we are talking 3, 4, sometimes up to 6 or 7 times PER DAY! . . .Could this be dangerous?. . . Or an indication of another problem?. . . Does anyone with a healthcare background or medical knowlege know how this may affect my health. Just to be clear, this is NOT diahrrea; the stool is normal consistency. My Mom says it's good (indicates fast metabolism, doesn't allow possible carcinogens to linger, etc), but I'm still a little worried because, while normal for ME, this seems very abnormal compared to most people.
