It is a MUST! unless you use nosodes as an alternative..You can't keep them indoors enough to protect them from bird dropping and flies...that is where Parvo comes from..

It is always a must to vaccinate your puppies . There are so many things that they can get like parvo, distemper . And its a given that they will have worms .all puppies do . There are not any precautions you can take for that to have healthy puppies

Yes!!!! it is a huge must to vaccinate your puppies. Especially if you want to sell them. Distemper, Parvo and Rabies can KILL your dogs and kennel cough can make them very very uncomfortable. and the only way to prevent these diseases is to NEVER take them outside your house, or let them near eachother. A friend of mine just lost her dog to Limes Disease which there is now a vaccine for. You must also deworm them, and check them for parasites, done by a stool sample, parasites can either severly harm or kill your puppies. Worms are usually transmitted through the mother, even if the mother was dewormed. Heartworm, easily preventable by a monthy treatment, can also kill your puppy and i transmitted by mosqiutos.
I seriously suggest getting a vet that you trust. asking friends of yours with animals can help you find a trust worthy vet. Parvo and Distemper must be given in stages and Rabies is absolutely required by law in almost every city in the US, and most international cities. Since Rabies can kill humans, and WILLL kill dogs as soon as symptoms develop, it's in your dogs best interest. Also, my vet set my dog up on a vaccination schedule so his health wouldn't be compromised physically by the amount of vaccine he first recieved. Don't forget to regularly treat your dogs with frontline(flea and tick preventative). Yes all of the health care is expensive...but it's so worth it to prevent what you can...considering all of the things you can't plan for.
All in all, my Simi's vaccinations were about 300 dollars. and his nutering was about 200. If you don't think you can afford this, try to find them a more affluent home. but most people won't take a dog that hasn't had at least their first round of shots and their first round of deworming.

You shouldnt even think of not doing it. Just get them vaccinated, its healthy for the dogs and every one esle around you. If its to much money, give the dogs away because you cant take care of them.

where I live the rabies vaccination is legally required.....the other posters are right....parvo, rabies, etc will kill your puppy....that is why you are supposed to get him vaccinated as a puppy against these! It is cheap, so it shouldn't be a problem.

You have to vaccinate them because that helps keep their immune system up and them healthy. If you are worried about the financial cost you can buy the shots to give them at your local pet store or feed store.

OMG......of COURSE you "MUST"!!!!!!
Are you TOTALLY ignorant of BASIC BIOLOGY??? Never heard of VIRUSES???
The only "precaution" to take if you DON'T vaccinate is -DIG the GRAVES **NOW**!!!!! Before the ground freezes.

don't let them outside on the grass due to a possibility of parvo which will probably kill them, nor let them around other dogs who may haven't been vaccinated, but you shouldn't let your puppies around other dogs incase they have gotten something
