Hi
I'm in year 7 right now, so i've just started high school...
My name is a four lettered name but it's a foreign/asian name, so most of the type everyone/teachers get it wrong.

So i'm thinking of changing my name, to a Japanese/Korean name. I'm a korean person but Japanese comes in because of the huge influence Japan & one special jpop/rock artist has on me. Some/most people are used to my original name, but I long to change it...

Do you think it's too late? Should I stick with it, or is it okay to get a new one???

P.S: I've already searched through millions of names... ^^
P.P.S: Do you know any nice japanese/korean name? Beginning with “y” thanks.

No, honey keep your name. It's makes you unique and when someone asks you to pronounce your name maybe they'll get to know more about you. You never know what could happen.

Go to your lawyer...he may be able to help you carry this thing out in a manner that would be appropriate and help you with documentation. You may need those documents later in life. Good luck !

I suggest that you keep your Asian last name and have an American first name. This way, you can satisfy both worlds. You know many famous people have done that. For example, Lucy Lu, Bruce Lee, Connie Chung, Jackie Chen, etc.

Pick an American first name that would match smoothly with your Asian last name. Talk to your parents about it and get it changed legally. Good luck !
