It's the best selling book by far. It is true that christian organizations give millions of bibles away but if you look at the difference every year between bible sales and the best selling second place book, the gap is far, far too big to try and explain it by just saying that bibles are given away.
Actually, the 2nd highest selling book in the history of the western world is 'Pilgrims Progress' by John Bunyan which is another bible related book. It might be the 2nd highest selling book in the history of the world. I just don't know how Pilgrims Progress would stand up against the Koran. But the highest selling book ever is the bible.

i've got self belief it extremely is certain. in spite of if the HP quip is real (uncertain - possibly it handed the Bible in sales in the time of a few cutting-edge era yet keep in mind bibles have been bought for hundreds of years - even previous to the printing press) we could keep in mind that the Bible is one e book no longer seven. even if McDonalds are positively teh ultimate merchandising hamburgers interior the international. What does that say related to the effort-free or value of their burgers while in comparison with others? All those bibles given away have been bought initially. somebody had to pay the printers, in spite of if the Gideon society would not value for hundreds of thousands of bibles in lodge rooms, they actually paid for them.

Well, it has been in existence for thousands of years... it is the most highly revered book of all time......

It had purpose... and has served that purpose and continues to do so in a way that so-called "self-help" books don't!!!!

I wonder why it didn't make the "best seller list".....

Hard to say because any data on the subject is tainted by a 2000 year printing run...if as many other books had been for sale for that long we might have a better idea...

Both. Alot of people buy multiple versions, buy them to give them away, publish them to give them away. But sales are prbably going down with the internet and the abailability to view bibles online.

spreading the good news of our Lord has no price tag attached in it so to be given it for free is much more effective if it helps us to be believe and have faith more...

It's just like that need to buy something we must have but we really don't need. It's in our blood and genes.
