I have a 70 lb mutt who is EXTRA freindly. When we come into the house she jumps and will almost knock you over in attempt to lick your face. This is especially bad when we have visitors. When we sit on the couch, she climbs and stomps on you. She is a pretty big girl, and having her climb on you like a goat can hurt. We have tried gently pushing her away, crate training, squirt bottles, rocks in a little plastic bottle, clickers... you name it. Other than this licking business, she is perfectly trained. I realize this is probably a dominance issue, but I need some help on how to correct it. I am not a big fan of choke collars and electric collars, but I am 6 months pregnant and this really needs to stop. Help us PLEASE!

im 34 weeks pregnant with my second child, my first pregnancy ended with an emergency c-section after a 12 hour labour, this time around im petrified of the labour and am thinking of electing a c-section, my GP tells me its fine to do that these days. is anybody against elective c-sections?? and why??

This probably overshadows a much larger area of my life. I was wondering if anybody has any serious advice or knows of any useful books in regards to effective speaking. My childhood was extremely shy so I rely heavily on abstract thought processes which throws off my timing completely during everyday speaking situations. Most of the time (especially with the opposite sex) it is always after the fact that I figure out what I should have said, or wanted to say. I want to learn how to convey my ideas more clearly and in a concise manner. Any advice in relation to this would be much appreciated. Thank You.

a chap at work is always on the ponce, he makes out he knows it all but dont, i have what he needs but he lied so i not give, this bugs him, i have also got the means to anoy him with out him ever finding out it me, and when i do this he flips out, which makes me smile.
the question is can i be bothered to waste my time but then it does make me smile.
what would you do?

I never drink when I'm deprssed...and I'm not depressed now....I've just had the urge to get trashed. I hardly ever drink anyways. Like maybe 1/2 a wine cooler if that per month or less. I just don't understand...any ideas as to maybe why?

We Americans and our forefathers pay or paid taxes to build the US schools you see all across America. We pay the teachers salaries to teach our kids, and.... Well - did you know illegal aliens can legally atttend our schools and use are rescources without the school or government doing anything about it. They are breaking the law if they turn the students away. They have to enroll and teach illegals... This is not right, and this is not fair to the people that paid into the system many moons ago and built those schools for our kids! Comments?

I've just moved into a new apt. about 40 miles south of where I used to live. Before I never had a problem with dry skin, but now it's almost as if the water doesn't get all the soap off. It's really kinda wierd. I think it's soft water, but I'm not sure. I know the water at my old place was hard water and it rinsed the soap off just fine. Any thoughts?

I've read that some believe that using aluminum pots and pans can be bad for you - can cause alzheimers.

What about aluminum cans for soda pop? My boyfriend drinks a lot of soda from aluminum cans. Is this possibly not so good either? I'm trying to get him off soda anyway for other reasons (sugar, other chemicals). So this may be another reason why he should give up his soda addiction.

We all know that Barack Obama is considering a presidential bid in 2008. Can he win? I think the reason why people don't want Barack Obama to be president is because he's black. Look at the list of other potential candidates.Hillary, Dachle, Giuliani, and others. He is; if not more, qualified than the majority of them. The fact of the matter is that America is still VERY RACIST. I've heard people on the internet refer to him as "Osama", and say he's not "really" black.
