Do whatever makes you feel better. Since childbirth is as painful as blowing a pineapple out your nose you ought to be as comfortable as possible. Congratulations by the way!!

I also had to have an emergency c-section with my son, and have decided with my next child that if at all possible I would like to have a vaginal birth. I personally felt like I missed out on something and hated having to be on all the pain meds and deal with the recovery that went along with the section. Although, this is a personal choice and if you feel more comfortable with having another c-section by all means do it. Giving birth is supposed to be a wonderful and happy experience, not something that causes fear.

I have 4 kids, first one was an emergency c-section and the other 3 were vaginal, I would recommend trying to go vagianally, much much quicker recovery. My labours were faster, but no matter what the labour, I was able to stand up and walk minutes after each baby was born.....totally recommend trying for natural first and opt for c-section only if you have to

If there was no way that you could have a child naturally (small pelvic, etc) than yes. BUT if you just had a ceasarean because of an emergency like the baby was in distress...I would go with the vaginal. The pain of labor immediately stopped as soon as I had my babies. Plus there is GREAT drugs now a days that you can take advantage of... Good Luck!!!

I wouldn't have one because I think that it would take longer to recover from the major abdominal surgery, and I'm terrified of getting an infection in a surgical wound like that.
I liked the natural birth- I was up and about within hours of giving birth, and I know that c-sections cause you to have to lie still and not be able to lean over to your baby spontaneously, or pick up whenever you want to.
Also the thought of being cut open is so scary, as is the needle they put into the spine to administer the anaesthetic...ewww!

Well, I wish I had the choice to have a vaginal delivery. Like you I was in labor for 12 hours and then they decided to do a c-section. If you have the oppertunity and aren't afraid of the risks involved of having a VBAC I would try it... But It is safer to have a second c-section rather than having a VBAC!!
Congrats and Good Luck...

Not against it, but I would rather just have the baby naturally and then feel fine afterwards and not have to deal with the pain , stitches , etc from the c section. I have had all my babies naturally and felt just great afterwards and able to do things without being in pain. I have never had a c section, but I can imagine its painful and takes a few weeks to heal. It just seems harder with a new baby to take care of.

Atleast you can choose it have a c-section. When I have my next child I have no choose. I had to be cut longer then normal because my son was stuck in the birth canal. Just think of not having to wait to push the child out.

it's your choice. i had a c-sect 3 years ago because my progress stalled and my son wouldn't drop down, they told me i coudl try to push, but it would most likely end up in an emergency c-sect if i did.. so i went ahead witht the c-sect obviously. my docs gave me a choice of trying to go ahead with a natural birth or i could choose to schedule another c-sect. i'm going to try natural birth again... it's something i want to experience and it takes less time to heal and regain your body back... i say if you would rather plan ahead and do the c-sect then that's fine, a couple of my friends have done this for their 2cd. but you could always try natural labor, and if it's not working for you tell them that you want a c-sect and i'm sure they'll give you one.. just consider at least giving it a chance!

most doctor will not do a vaginal birth after a previous c-section because of malpractice claims. Your chances of a problem with a natural labor/birth are slim, but if you want the c-section do it.
