In Robert W. Funk's book Honest to Jesus, He makes his most valiant effort in answering this question after years of extensive historical and biblical research. In the very beggining of his book, he makes some assumptions about how Americans percieve him. " Americans do not view Jesus as a hero, according to reports now and then in newspapers. " Heroes make history," writes Daniel Boorstin, Pulitzer-prize winning author; "they are known for their achievments." Celebrities on the other hand, are known for being known; they make news, not history. A celebrity functions for many contemporary folk as a role model, as someone to be emulated and imitated because he or she makes news-and makes money.
Although Jesus is not considered a hero, he is thought by some to be a "role model". Jesus is known for being known; everybody knows about Jesus: his name is mentioned on talk shows, and he is frequently the subject of TV documentaries." Is Jesus more than a role-model or celebrity? speak on it

In Medea, Medea kills both her sons. We know that she does this to seek revenge against Jason after he leaves her for the princess. It can also be inferred that another theme of the story is feminism. Is there textual evidence within the story that can show that Medea killed her two children to make a statement advocating equal rights? That she used her two sons as martyrs forequal rights?

Who is 'afraid' of dying? would you be quite happy to die whenever, even if whenever was in 5 minutes, or would you feel unsatisfied, like you missed out, or had other things to do?

I'm 38-39 weeks pregnant and I'm completely frustrated waiting for labour to start. I can deal with all the pregnancy symptoms and I gladly welcome the labour pain but this waiting is starting to drive me insane. I have tried everthing to speed up the process-except for castor oil (sex, walking, evening prime rose, rasberry tea leaves but nothing seems to work) I've had two false calls at the hospital ending up back home waiting again. I know I should try and chill out and that I be so over joyed when I see my baby soon but my hormones are really driving me nust. When I read some women's stories that they have three children or more with hardly any spacing I just wonder how they manage. Anyway My question is, is anyone else feeling utterly frustrated playing this waiting game? any tips to speed up this process? Thanks

im not trying to bash anyones religion, but i wondered.the bible says if we look at someone and think sexual then we are going to hell; so we all are?and if we have sex without marriage or are gay or cheat, then we are gonna go to hell. how can anyone do this? besides, jesus was supposedly put into mary by god(god wasnt married to mary, so should god go to hell then?) and if we murder or help in murder, we are un-forgivable sinner.im a vegan, but most people eat meat and wear leather and such, so since these animals suffer and are terribly abused and then killed, wouldnt almost everyone be considered unforgivable? why would god be a person if there are so many other creatures on earth?there's estimated 50 billion galaxies out there, so why would this one be so special to have a 'god'? and who knows if there is other planets on the other side of the sun that we cant see?and evolution is a proven fact, so isnt that something? and if you get divorced, you go to hell even if unhappy.

I just have issues with Wiccans. They come across as more holier than thou, and the Wiccan Rede itself spits in the face of nature and magic itself. The other forms of magic out there have nothing like the Rede, and the very idea that there is a rules system to magic does not make any real sense. I believe that magic, like God/Gods/It, cannot be so clearly defined. As humans I think we try too hard to place perameters on things, when the things we place parameters on are infinite! Please tell me how you can define God and magic when it is infinite. And the entire moral scope of it is flawed as well! EVERYONE with the exception of the Wiccans do not place boundries on magic, not even the Druids! Now, I will take into consideration that evil is evil, but Israel Regardie says that "magic itself is the manipulation of the will." Even Kabbahlist believe this! So where do the Wiccans get off putting parameters on magic? Considering other forms have been around so much longer, what gives?
