My ears got stung by some mosquitos this summer and ever since my lobes have become extra sensitive. I have a whole bunch of earrings made of white and 14kt yellow gold. My doctor told me that white gold is no longer an option for me. So, I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do. Should I save up and trade up my earrings for a higher caret yellow gold or try for platinum? Which is better for my poor bitten battered ears?

Do atheists who used to be believers ever retain the "make them one of us/spread the word" mentality? Is it a drive that in ingrained because they were brought up with that mindset, or it is something easily put away with the rest of religion when someone became an atheist?

Not trying to accuse anyone of anything... I was born and raised a non believer and never had that influence, and was just wondering about that.

If it does stay with some, and they "push" non belief now, does the religious side only have itself to blame for that mentality?

The problem is I have already been in the U.S. Airforce for 2 years 9 months and got diagnosed with OCD and I was medically discharged under honorable conditions. It has been over 3 years since then I want to go back in and do it right this time. I believe that the OCD had a lot to do with maturity and the fact that I wasnt ready yet. I want to be a Navy Seal more then life itself. Does anybody have any advice on training or if it is even possible to get back in the military under the Navy under a waver or anything because I really want to go to Coronado to BUDS training I want to be a Seal really really bad. I am doing a study of "Faith and Reason" written by Pope John Paul II. Tonight we were talking about objectivity and subjectivity. Art was the example used to discuss one's own perception of good art and bad art and the universal perception of it. I am confused by the subject of art. I personally think good and bad art is subject to one's own personal opinion.

Can anyone explain to me what is 'good art'? Like Michelango, Picaso & Van Gogh versus modern art? And by whose standards is 'good art' classified as such?

I've never taken an art class, I only draw privately once in a while but I don't consider myself an artist. What books or websites can I go to to learn about art?
