What would it be and why?

Since "illogical" seems to be winning in why christianity is rejected.

This is fun!

Christianity presents a God who is supposedly loving and caring, yet ignores the fact that he created evil, released the devil onto the earth, kills on the global scale, tortures men (like Job and Abraham) for his amusement, sanctifies slavery, and threatens you with eternal damnation if you don't excercise your "free will" to love him.

The obvious most illogical thing is Faith because it is the fundamental concept upon which the entirety of religion is based. All the illogical elements of religion comes down to the fact that they are supported irrationally by a doctrine which refutes investigation and reason. Why would God, who apparently designed a brain that could reason, tell us to just not to use that brain to ask any questions regarding certain designated topics? Seems pretty ridiculous, particularly considering the number of times science and reason have proved the beliefs of religion wrong: from the flat earth at the center of the universe to the divine right of kings. The less we rely on Faith for answers the less easily humanity is manipulated and the better off we seem to get, but the blindfolded adherence to anything without evidence is equally as unreasonable.

I think what is most illogical is that Christians believe that their god is the true god of man. With thousands of other gods available, what makes them so sure that their god is the creator god?

I mean, doesn't it seem weird to you that, with one religion comes different denominations, different beliefs, different perspectives, ignorance in belief and so many differences within the same belief system? I find it absurd! It's like having a family with all this in-fighting - who's right or wrong?

Then there's the whole blind faith thing. I just don't get it.

What's even funnier is when they bring up the Pascal's Wager argument (it's easier and safer to believe in god than to not because you don't lose anything by believing in him and you can lose everything if you don't). PW is a flawed argument.

Anyways, I'm rambling now.

I consider christianity illogical for a variety of reasons. Here are a few.
1. Christians claim that the Bible is proof of that christianity is true, yet reject other, older writings portraying history and religion as false.
2. There is no proof that god exists (the bible is not proof). There is evidence that some things in the bible actually happened, but not necessarily the way the bible portrays them. For instance, the egyptians had a rather different version of exodus. The bible is just a collection of stories and opinions, yet people base their lives on it.
3. People base their lives around a book written thousands of years ago for a culture that has almost nothing in common with modern times. This book is vague and filled with contradictions, yet it is accepted without question.
4. Christianity refuses to consider any other options. When evidence for another point of view is presented, it is rejected out of hand.

It is illogical that we all "deserve to go to hell" because we are not God. It is also illogical that heaven is only accessible through accepting Jesus. Not only is this the previous a pessimistic way of looking at humanity, but the latter is also encourages discrimination against those who don't believe in Jesus.

"Jesus was messiah because he fullfilled the messianic prophecies!"

"But he didn't. According to the KJV... you use the KJV right?... the new testament says this, this, and this, but these are directly contrary to this, this, and these passages in the old testament that prophecize the coming of the messiach."

"BUT w'ere CHRISTIANS, we don't have to follow the Old Testament any more!!!"

"But the OT tells you how to recognize the messiah. If he didn't meet the OT requirements, how could he be the messiah!"

"Because he said so!"

"Okay, then I say I'm God."

"HEATHEN!"

"Illogical idiot."

"You're going to hell!"

"You are too, you're judging my eternal fate, according to your own holy book, that's a sin."

"*HUFF!* You need to get some faith!"

"You need a brain. Have a nice day." *atheist walks away*

The very belief in God (especially the Christian God) is unreasonable. There is no proof. There isn't even any convincing evidence. I cannot understand people who would abandon rationality and thus their own minds in favor of something as inane as faith.

I'm agnostic, but the most unreasonable one to me is where people who don't even deserve to go there, go to Hell just for not accepting Jesus as they're saviour. Even if u have good kind hearted person they still go to Hell just for not believing. I don't believe it, but it doesn't make sense.

Well, the whole thing is based on a being that no one can prove to exist! It doesn't get any more irrational than that, does it?

Anyway, let me remind you I voted for option (4: other reasons).
