I'm 16 and throwing a Halloween party at my house. There are about 24 people coming and we don't have a ton of space to run around (but enough to function). Also, I live in a fairly cold area so we won't necessarily be able to go outside. What are some non-dorky things we can do? (besides dancing and eating)

I'm just curious, 'cause I seem to get canker sores a LOT for no resaon, and I think maybe my saliva is a little more acidic than normal. I just want to compare my saliva's Ph to normal (I'm probably going to do some type of litmus test, I think, I'm not quite sure, but I'll know when I see it, lol!)

The average rent per month of a typical two bedroom property here in Southampton is £700, depending on the area. Just wondering if it's worth me relocating to the North, as I am lucky enough to earn roughly the same salary up there to.

I'm re-asking a q. I tried to ask weeks ago, only people answered before I could finish putting in all the details, and obviously had no idea of wha i was really asking. Okay, bear w' me.

I want to draw an analogy. The story is told of an elderly lady who attended a lecture on cosmology. Afterward, she told the lecturere that she didn't believe the Earth was a sphere, or that it floated in space.

"What do you believe?" he asked.

"The Earth is circular but flat,"she replied. "And it's not floating in space."

"What holds it up, then...?" he wanted to know.

It's resting on the back of a gigantic elephant!"

"What holds the elephant up?"

"It's standing on the back of an enormous turtle!"

"But what holds the turtle up?"

"It's standing on the back of an even more enormous turtle!"

"And where is that turtle standing...?"

"It's no use," she said with a smile. "It's turtles, all the way down!"

In Aquinas's proof of first cause, he claims that "something cannot come from nothing" and that the idea of a "first designer" is superior to that of infinite regress. So, did "existence" always exist and God came into it, or did God create existence? (classic "which came first chicken or egg" paradox)

This is a rescued horse with a lovely nature, but he seems to be in pain sometimes. He "dribbles" and spurts a lot, especially when excited or stressed. He sometimes seems to "waddle" behind, maybe because of urinary scald. I've tried many antibiotics based on urine tests, vet used catheter to check for blocks, but nothing. Had Chiropractor out a few times to realign his bones. Sometimes extremely difficult / dangerous to ride, probably due to discomfort. I've had him about 6 months. He was extremely thin when I got him but is in good condition now, except for incontinence. He's on a very good food mix and gets appropriate supplements, including bicarb. Spent many thousands on vets so far and we aren't rich so need to target my approach. Is next step an ultrasound? please help!

If during hospitalization for internal bleeding from ulcers in the esphogus and esophogeal varies, the doctor suspects Hepatitis and runs a Hepatitis test, shouldn't the doctor tell you they are running these test and shouldn't the doctor give you these results? My husband was hospitalized for these two things on two different occasions. He saw the same doctor both times. The second time, the doctor ordered Hep testing, but did not tell us. He, my husband, never followed up with this doctor, he did not like the doctor. However, now we find out from another doctor, 3 years later, when he was hospitalized again, that he does indeed have Hepatitis C. We got the prior doctor's records and find out three years ago he was tested and came back positive. That's three years he could have been getting treatment. If he would have told us he suspected and was testing for Hepatitis C, we would have at least followed this up to get the results. Now the liver is to damaged to treat the hep.

Suppose you were stranded on an island and ran out of bottled insulin. How would you get it? Could you extract it from wild animals? If there were no animals but other people on the island, would you kill them to get a supply of insulin? Could you extract insulin from a living person? How would you do it?

I'm have tried to be straight for 9 years and now I'm giving up. I have tried praying to God. I even took counseling but nothing is working! I have decided to come out as a bisexual and I have told about 7 of my good friends. They are all girls but I want to tell my dad and mom. My dad said he would disown me if i was "gay" which has kept me from doing anything. My mom may take it a bit easier...but what am I going to say to my dad? I have tried really hard but I can't seem to tell him because I am really scared.
