If aliens--spaceships and all--landed and made it clear to the world that they unmistakably exist, would this challenge your religious beliefs? Can you fit the existence of extraterrestrial life with your current religious worldview? What would change, if anything?

I heard a story that there is a pub team in rural Australia that each year writes a letter to the Stanley Cup champions challenging them to a "World title match". Obviously the stanley cup champs never accept and the team then declares themselves World Champions and have a big party!!

Is this true?!? I cant find any information about this anywhere!!!

David Kuo is a Christian hired at the W. House as 2nd-in-command of Bush's Office of Faith-Based Initiatives. Kuo has a new book 'Tempting Faith: An Inside Story of Political Seduction'.

There is an excerpt in the current (Oct. 23) issue of Time under the title "Why a Christian in the White House Felt Betrayed."

Kuo describes how "members of the senior staff mocked the plan as the 'f___ing faith-based initiative'.' Or as Kuo describes, "When I heard staff privately deriding evangelical Christians because they were so easily seduced by White House power, I raised an eyebrow but not a ruckus."

Kuo does not blame President Bush himself. Bush seems genuinely surprised when Kuo informs him funding for the faith-based initiative is 1% of promised. Instead, it is the Administration surrounding Bush (exemplified by Karl Rove) who "milk religious groups for votes and them boot them unceremoniously back out to pasture." (Kuo's words.)

My Q: What do evangelicals think of this?

Yes, we have a horrible president. Not our fault. You know we didn't choose him.

This has been going on since 4/06. YEAH! frustrating! ugh! I can not move, now it is not an option, that builds upon the frustration as you can imagine. I have called the cops, went to court, called the landlord, the cops are frustrated, this gal is in and out of the courts is the impressions I got when going to court. Her it is, she plays her music or TV or she does laundry, no big deal right? but she does this at 11pm, 3am, 1am, midnight, 5am, yeah! frustrated, she actually told one cop, she plays it loud at night because she doesn't want to disturb anyone, funny thing about that is, she plays the cops that she doesn't remember (I highly doubt she is sober) and so luckly more often than not, they are on to her, but more than come out get the complaint info and or tell her to quite it down, which takes them away from doing more important things, they are just as frustrated. Is there ANY legal repercussion that I can do against her, or the landlord? please anyone with REAL advise, HELP!!!

I was just told that the cause of my brakelights not turning off was a bad brakelight switch. I picked-up a replacement for the switch, but I am clueless on how to replace it. I have found guides online, but none of them for my car. I have a 1988 Honda Civic with automatic transmission and the hatchback body type. Can anyone lend me a hand. Also, if it is possible, provide visuals. I'm not a "car" person, but I follow directions well, so with much details provided, I can replace it easily. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Abounding in a variety of rites, resulting in actions, fruition and rebirth as the means to enjoyment and power, being full of desire and litent on heaven.

Overcome by desire, they perform works in order to indulge in sensuous enjoyments. They undertake many rites strictly according to religious precepts and perform their religious duty with dexterity.

As for those who cling to sensuous enjoyment and power, with their wits carried away (by that flowery speech), their single-pointed mind does not remain fixed in contemplation.

But, O Arjuna, they do a wrong thing in that they long for heaven and forget God, who is the enjoyed of sacrifices. Even as one collects camphor and sets fire to it, or one cooks sweet dishes and mixes poison in them, or one kicks a jar full of nectar found by a stroke of luck, in the same way they lose merit through the motive of gain. Tell me, after making this great effort, why do they run after worldly pleasures? But what can one do?

I was working as a waitress, when I was in my teens, & I had on some real thin material pants....when I bent down to pick up a fallen fork off the floor...my pants ripped straight down the middle seam.....when I jumped into the nearest booth to hide myself...there was someone sitting there & I ended up knocking his drink into his food & his lap...It was so embarrassing!
