My gross annual salry is 30,000 GBP and I am planing to apply for mortgage, I can put 10% deposit as well and I dont have any loan or credit card commitment with me. But the maximum some banks ar ewilling to offer me for mortgaeg is 135,000 with that I cannot buy even a studio in Lonodn. Although Halifax give 5 time of salry but not in my case as they say that I dont have any credit history because I never took a loan so my credit history is not built . I want to have at least 5 times of my salry if someone know which bank or housing society can give e 5 times with reasonable interest rate. I talked to some mortgage brokers but the intereet rates they offer are very high.

It's always been my dream to work in Africa (central if possible). I'm a Project Manager at home and i'm also a qualified ESOL teacher. I need to earn enough to keep my house, pay bills etc at home while I'm away. Most of the jobs i've seen so far are either voluntary or academic - requring at least a PhD. I have a BA in English and at the moment i manage a Day Centre for families in temporary accommodation in London. Any advice on how to get going would be much appreciated. Perhaps from people who've done a similar thing

We are now disagreeing on whether he should pay me rent. He thinks because he is in debt and his money needs to go to pay off his debt, I think because he makes very very good money and got himself in this situation, he still needs to be an adult and pay his way. I am divorced and barely make ends meet myself. I have lent him lots of money (which he still owes me) to help him stay afloat but now he just owes tooo much. He needs to get things together. What should i do...charge rent or let him stay rent free?

I recently took in a stray cat, and she is very vocal at night. She starts crying when I lay down and goes for hours. She doesn't cry like this during the day. She has food and water and access to her box, but there is still something that I can't figure out that makes her cry. Is there any way to keep her quiet or to teach her not to cry at night?
