They're claiming it's for their own safety. No wonder kids are obese. We, as a society, won't even let them be kids. Isn't it getting out of hand?

I would like to buy a pickup Ford Ranger ExtraCab (1992-1996), but some people say that the performance of this vehicle is poor because often requires to be repared (brakes down easily)...
They say a Nissan KingCab would be a better choice, because the cheaper maintence and almost never brakes down. What is your opinion?

Is that acceptable? Why or why not, please?

It was a police officer and the vice-principal of the elementary school. They kept him for a little under an hour and threatened him with life in jail, because a child said that my son said he was going to shoot a neighbor. Once they spoke with the third boy who was present for the conversation, they apologized to my son and let him go, warning him to keep it to himself. I was NEVER called. I only found out when my son got home from school, devastated and crying over what they had said and done.

Several recent studies suggest conservatives may be predisposed against intellectual and emotional independence and maturity.

How to spot a baby conservative
KID POLITICS | Whiny children, claims a new study, tend to grow up rigid and traditional. Future liberals, on the other hand ...

SPECIAL TO THE STAR

Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints?

Chances are he grew up to be a conservative.

The confident, resilient, self-reliant kids mostly grew up to be liberals.

The study from the Journal of Research Into Personality isn't going to make the UC Berkeley professor who published it any friends on the right. Similar conclusions a few years ago from another academic saw him excoriated on right-wing blogs, and even led to a Congressional investigation into his research funding.

Similarly, in 2003 John T. Jost of Stanford and colleagues reviewed 44 years worth of studies into the psychology of conservatism, and concluded that people who are dogmatic, fearful, intolerant of ambiguity and uncertainty, and who crave order and structure are more likely to gravitate to conservatism.

Women - Please answer this - Can I be forgiven?

I have been very patient with my gf of 4 months. Never said ONE bad word to her or about her. Just pure unconditional love.

Last week, she was sick and could not answer her phone fore other reasons for 4 days. I got so confused and upset, I called her a ***** and said I regret I ever met you....just out of love for her to triger her to call me back...I am also shorttempered like my dad and she knows it.

Can I be forgiven because like I said, I have not said ONE BAD thing and moreover done and said MILLIONS OF GOOD THINGS to her...so I can be forgiven?

Also, I see couples fight and its ok once in a while if someone says something they really meant to say out of love.

I just want to know if this happens generally in relationships once in a while and I can be forgiven, given alll my past good deeds?

I have a friend who has been in a relationship (the only relationship she's ever been in--the only man she's ever slept with) for 8 years. Hopefully, your answers will knock some sense into her.

They are professionals. He's a pretty decent guy--he treats her well, no bad habits, they enjoy each other's company, etc. But he leaves her wanting emotionally and he has a history of cheating. She's very social and he's not.

They got engaged last May. He was against the idea but agreed to get married after she said she was leaving otherwise. Since then he has got caught fooling around twice. Each time he promises not to do it again and that he's sorry. She doesn't want that to go on and stayed because "it wasn't serious (just sex) and it doesn't mean he doesn't love her."

The wedding is in Feb. and she wants a baby. I say this is all a huge mistake, but she ignores my advise and thinks she will be happy with him. I just don't want her to realize I'm right 5 years from now. Help me!

These were shown in 2002 in cinemas, starring British comedians such as Harry Enfield and Rik Mayall featured skits with Tim Nice but Dim not knowing what the euro is and 'Hitler' saying 'ein volk ein reich ein euro'. Apparently it was a bit contrversial and seems to have completely dissapeared from the public domain.

Christmas is coming up... What are some good gift ideas to give to a married couple who have everything? Nothing too pricey. I don't want to give them a gift card to restaurants, walmart, target or lowes. Already did that for their birthdays last month.

It was 16 games in one cassette and mostly Japanese card games. There was one game where you had to progress through each level by moving aside square blocks and if not careful would trap yourself. Each level got harder and I became addicted. I reached something like level 11 when the friend who lent it to me asked for it back as they had borrowed it from an American cousin. I have tried all I know but even the Nintendo people don't remember it. I would love to be able to complete the game but think I must have dreamt it up

I'm looking to get a new MP3 player and wanted some advice on what to get. For various reasons I don't want to get an i-pod so please don't suggest that. I want at least 6gb of memory, preferably more but not essential. I also want a decent (15 hrs+) battery life, and something that looks cool. What would you recommend? If you own the mp3 player you reccommend, what are the good and bad points of it? P.S I've had a Sony one-shocking reliability and heard a few other stories saying the same so i'd like to avoid them if poss!)

It's about selkies...

"Over the waves, you call to me
Oceans of night, ancient mysteries
Oh, how I long for your sweet caress
Oh, how I long for your (?gentleness or tenderness?)"

...or something like that. I think the rest was in Gaelic, but I'm not sure. If it wasn't, then the language was at least something similar to Gaelic.
