I have lived in Italy for 4 years and taught English with language schools until a month ago when I changed my job.

Teaching is extremely for filling but if you want to money I really would recommend not teaching in Italy. Italy currently is (slowing) recovering from economy problems and so companies are reluctant (yet also eager) to have English courses. In general if you plan to work abroad you need to do your research very well indeed. Maybe you should make a list of countries you would like to work in and then research them, both the good points and the bad points (economy, people, political stability, quantity of prospective clients).
Once you've narrowed down your list, maybe you could take a little holiday and visit that country! Get to know the people, the culture; see what the place is like.

I chose Italy because I'm married to an Italian. I changed my job because teaching in Italy just doesn't pay well enough.

Hope this helps.

I assume you are talking about Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Getting experience is easy if you are willing to travel There are hundreds of jobs on the Internet. Just type in EFL or ESL jobs into google and go from there. If you want to teach in your home country then it is a little harder but same places will give you a list of jobs in your area. Jobs abroad require less experience and qualifications to get the job but you will need to spend time in a foreign country which is not for everyone. I have lived and worked in China for the last three years and have loved every minute
