they learn I'm employed?

I am not employed to have "something to do." I have plenty to do. I have children and my husband does not have a job. Of course he's a saint for being good to them while I'm at work and college. Coz "guys normally don't do that." I'm so lucky....

The ones saying it usually don't know me well enough to know my hobbies and such, just that I was silly enough to have kids and be married at a young age, but you'd think they know I have lots to "do".... The common factor is the people saying it are all Christians. I don't smart off coz I like them, don't want to hurt their feelings, but it kind of hurts my feelings, not knowing where they're coming from with that, and okay, why does my husband always get credit, and I never do. (A little jealousy there, but still not related to the question.:*) )

Has anyone else encountered this, or said it to a working married mother? Why?

There was heavy rain and I drove my car into an intersection where there was a lot of water. I didn't know that the water level was that high until it was too late. My car stalled The water level wasn't high enough to get into the interior of my car, but it was high enough to make it stall. It wasn't left in the deep water for too long. I had help pushing it out of the water after several minutes. I tried to start the car again. The starter cranked, but there is no combustion. I was wondering if any serious damage has been done to the car. It was not flooded up to the windshield like the ones you see in the news.

I received several different answers. There must be a right or wrong. I am a 40 year old single woman who has work 2-3 jobs most of my life. I came from NE to CA. I felt like I was missing a personal life and had enough stock options to take some time off. Got to know my neices and nephews and help my parents out and do some charity work. I also had a boss who wasn't allowed to talk to me due to a personal relationship with my colleague. My Dad has since passed away and I was able to spend 5 months helping my Mom and deal with the paperwork and clutter. I am now looking for a job. I have never taken unemployment or welfare and money doesn't always make happiness. Please reply. Thanks! Most people are envious, but when they were having fun as teen, twenties and thirties, I was busting my butt to prove to an Italian family that I could support myself, and NO I am not a womans libber. And yes, I payed 90,000 to the government last year. A killer!!

Me and my wife only have one child. A son and he is 5 years old. We both are 27 years old. We don't know for sure if we want more kids or not, it is like we can't make our minds up. Mainly because my wife had such a hard pregnancy with our son. What is your all's take on this? Is one enough and will our son miss out on having a brother or sister?
Thanks

Does anyone know the etymology of this children's rhyme? There seems to be some suggestion of it being offesnsive to the Irish in some way, and I have found some refernces to it dating back to Cromwell, however my research has got no further than this. Any sensible answers would be much appreciated...
