they learn I'm employed?
I am not employed to have "something to do." I have plenty to do. I have children and my husband does not have a job. Of course he's a saint for being good to them while I'm at work and college. Coz "guys normally don't do that." I'm so lucky....
The ones saying it usually don't know me well enough to know my hobbies and such, just that I was silly enough to have kids and be married at a young age, but you'd think they know I have lots to "do".... The common factor is the people saying it are all Christians. I don't smart off coz I like them, don't want to hurt their feelings, but it kind of hurts my feelings, not knowing where they're coming from with that, and okay, why does my husband always get credit, and I never do. (A little jealousy there, but still not related to the question.:*) )
Has anyone else encountered this, or said it to a working married mother? Why?
