Best compact laptop with a DVD drive?

I like the Sony TX Series, but am not sure if I can justify the $2500 price tag.

Yes, that's the right answer! Sony Vaio I was hesitant too but it's absolutely worth it, and after a year and a half of constant use by two teenagers, my wife and me still going strong and looking gorgeous :-)
