Thanks for helping with my math questions. I'm helping my bf with his homework, but I took algebra 2 two years ago and my brain is foggy...

This problem says:

Find two consecutive odd intergers such that the square of the first increased by the second is 32.

Logically I know that 5^2 is 25, and 25 plus 7 is 32. 5 and 7 are consecutive and odd....

here's where my problem comes in.

My boyfriend has to have an equation and putting this into an equation I would get:

n^2 + (n + 2) = 32
n^2 + n - 30 = 0
(n+6) (n-5)= 0

This means that according to equation form, the numbers are 5 and 6. However 6 is not odd and 5^2 + 6 is 31...


Am I missing something? Did I write the equation wrong?

I have recently put on a little weight and all of a sudden nothing fits! And I can't find much that does. I cannot wear Big Women's clothes, they are too big and a size 10, 12 or 14 does not fit through the waist....someone needs to develop a line of clothing for us! I am 5'2" tall, not overweight, just menopause has hit along with it's changing your size and stature......HELP!

Been married for nearly 12 years. We have two kids (ages 3 and 6) and I'm quite happy with things as they are. I have no desire to have more kids but hubby keeps hinting that we need to have our "oops" third baby. Not kosher with me. I've brought up the idea of him getting the big V, but he tells me "what if something happens to you and I want to have more kids?" Nice, huh? I was on the Pill for 5 years and really don't want to go back on it because of the risks (I'll be 36 in December). Hubby also refuses to wear condoms. The result of this conflict......we have sex maybe once a month and I never inititate because I don't want to get pregnant. I've told him my concerns quite a few times, but he's not taking me seriously. I'm considering getting my tubes blocked but why should I having major surgery when he can have an easy procedure on Friday morning and be back to work on Monday????

Oh my god, she looks so gross.

Did anyone see her without makeup?

And not to mention those things on her arms and back, I want to vomit when I look at her.

It looks like she has a tumor on her eyebrow.

Why would he want to pick her, but I guess his face isn't any better than her face or her ugly scars.

By the way, does anyone know what happend to her?

I fancy a young lady that I have been friends with for a few years and I would like to tell her how I feel but I don't know if it would be fair to.

I will be leaving for two years in a few months (at the end of which I will return) and I don't know if it would be fair to her if we were to be dating, possibly fall in love or whatnot. Also, what if I were to die or if something else happened? Or if she were to like another but felt that she had to be loyal to me? What if something else happened? Would she be happier if we were just friends or if she knew how I felt?

The final quandary is that I don't know if I should tell her how I feel or if I should just allow her to continue on not knowing.

The one neighbor cannot use their backyard or pool because of snakes and other wildlife coming onto their property. The wildlife is coming from a farm adjacent to their land that grows wildflowers and natural grasses; snakes, mice and other animals live in these wildflowers and grasses.
