many fresh -water one-celled organisms have structures called contractile vacuoles. these structures collect and pump out excess water that accumulates in the cell. what is the process that causes water to flow into these organisms and why contractile vacuoles would be of little value to one-celled organisms living the ocean (salt water)

I have read brief descriptions of MSA, so I know that it is based on plotting the relationship between the items of the analysis. What I'm not sure about is how do you get these items? What are they based on? Since MSA is quantifying qualitative data I assume that you obtain your original data through interviews. Do you get your items from the transcripts of the interviews? If so, how do you decide what should be an item or not? Many thanks for any help.

I want to reduce my traps and biceps.So i wonder is it better to work out with lighter weights or not to work out. I have those muscles from streaching out exercise when i had more fat and mase and now I dont want them. I am 20 years old, moderately built, about 5'6. I just got offfered, no I did not apply, they called me, they saw my pic on monsters.com(a job site). I do not want to do it. It is not like me. The reason why i asked this question was In July i took up an office job and made horrible diet decisions and basically never worked out. Gained 40lbs. Used to be toned at 210lbs. When i quit in December i was 250lbs, and used to always be tired, not feel like doing anything. But as months passed on i feel a lot more energetic, and i am a lot more active, and my diet is great (veggies, fruits and a lot of lean meats such as chicken) but my weight is still at 250lbs, so i really dont get it. I have been working out daily for 2 weeks so far. 30 min weight lifting, 30 min treadmill at max incline, cant run due to multiple knee dislocations that had happend since i was 16. Anyone know why the increase of energy over the months?

I have an old brick house which has a blacktop driveway abutting one side. I can tell that at one point there was some sort of black sealant between the two as there is some residual black stuff on the house. I am interested in putting something down to reduce water seeping between the house and the driveway.
