Leogirl, no, I'm not 12 years old, are you? If you don't understand what kinds of people the world is made up of, keep living in your dream world, while you can.

To the others: Suppose we don't know for sure who did it? Do we have an investigation? Suppose more than one city is hit at the same time?

I say we take the opportunity to settle the score with EVERYONE. Iran, N. Korea, Syria, and anyone else that has pissed us off. I say we ELIMINATE those countries. Too bad for the innocent victims, and too bad for what the liberals will say about us.

It depends if you are a Democrat or a Republican.

Democrat - wait for polling data on what the response should be

Republican - retaliate

Everyone seems to think that a nuclear attack is going to come from a foreign government. It won't, it'll come, just 9/11 did, from a bunch of disaffected civilians. rltouhe talks about hitting back after Pearl Harbor and 9/11. After 9/11 we invaded the wrong country, 9/11 was done by Saudis working our of Pakistan, Iraq had nothing to do with it. It is a truism the U.S. is already to fight it's last war. Our army is designed for WW2 type operations, our Nuclear Defense Network is designed for the Cold War with the Soviets, neither of which have any application today. A nuclear attack on the U.S. won't be by missile, it will be smuggled in through the same channels used to bring in illegal aliens and then set off by suicide bombers. We have nothing in place to prevent such a scenario. Some cities have even declared themselves "safe zones" where illegal aliens may congregate without interference. Such a city would be ideal for smuggling a dirty bomb into the country. How should we respond? How CAN we respond, with no idea who is responsible? We send our troops to Iraq, but our borders are completely unprotected, how clever of us.

The way America has responded (ie Pearl Harbor and 9/11). Go to that country that attacked and stand up for our country. If we are nuked then we should attack.

Immediate nuclear assault on the offending country. Not one or two, but three or four along with bombing anyone who helped them.

Period. I wouldn't even play around in that situation.
