About 20 years ago (yeah, I know, like, who cares?) a really great high school classmate that I "remet" in college broke up with me after only four months of blissful happiness (at least, _my_ blissful happiness) together. She was in graduate school and I was still an undergraduate (we're roughly the same age)--? Sexually, we had fun, or so I thought--? I didn't like to drink and she does (or did)--? She had her own money and I was still living off my parents--? But I thought everything was going all right and then, bang, I was just out of her life (she dropped me off in a parking lot and I had to walk home--I thought we were going out to dinner) like she could flip off a light switch. I'm not mad or anything, just jilted in a major way. I've just always been curious as to why? Maybe I'll always have to be?
