On Friday I took my female dog to the vet to get fixed. She was a Chow 2 years old, up to date with her shots healthy. 7 months ago she had 6 puppies all of which survived. In the morning that she left she was playing with two of her puppies in the yard and seemed happy. She was a live in dog that was great with kids and babies.
I dropped her off at 8h30am and at 10h30 I got a call from the vet telling me that she had died on the operating table. The vet did a blood smear and said it came out clear. She has no idea why the dog died...
As most of you know live in dogs are members of the family and I find it hard to accept no answer as an answer. Are there any questions I should have asked my vet to find out what happened? What do you think happened? She said the bill will include some adrenaline shots that she used to try revive my dog. She said that this is the first time she has had a healthy dog die on her with a simple procedure like this.

You & she get along well, as friends at this point. You met through a mutual interest (studying same course). Similar stages in life. You are 49, she is 39. You have both come out of long term relationships, with a way to go with sorting out property settlements etc. You make each other laugh. You can tell you find each other attractive, because initially you started chatting because she smiled at you in a crowded place and then later, on another occasion, you got chatting. Since then, you have been in contact either by email or in person for the purposes of the mutual interest. You share your personal woes, and you vent your frustrations etc to each other about your personal situations. This has been happening for over 12 months, and you two have been out for drinks on a couple of occasions. BUT, there has been no attempt by either party to initiate any intimacy. From the lady's point of view, she really wants to get intimate. Guys, what would you want the lady to do?

psychological damage caused by christian beliefs?
Teaching small children that they will go to hell for all eternity and be burnt by God for not following Him, clearly can have a terrible psychological impact on people(me for example). It should be the responsibility of the state to protect children.The state allows it to be taught to the impressionable. Should it be the height of the states responsibility to acknowledge that there is no evidence for such a place and it should NOT be taught to people because it will clearly lead many people to lives of depression? And it surely cannot be hidden behind the guise of freedom of religion?

I'm going to Mauritius in about two weeks and am trying to sort out my car transfers from the airport to my hotel and also the excursions I want to go on.

I have contacted about three or four companies who all want me to email my credit card details, expiry date and three digit code at the back of the card should I wish to proceed...

I really don't want to do this. They cannot accept Paypal as Mauritius is not one of the listed countries which can receive it. I cannot do a bank transfer as I will be charged to do so... I also doubt they will let me pay on arrival [in case from their point of view I don't show up]...

I really don't know what to do.. I really do not want to email or fax my credit card details to them for obvious reasons....

so this guy was too drunk and was so stupid that when a really beautiful girl gave him her number, he pressed end while saving the number... i know instead of saving it right away i should have called her and stored it that way on my cell but i didnt, even after she told me "call me right now so i can get your number too." so now she doesnt have my number and i dont have hers. i have pictures of her, i know her name and she lives in a town next to mine but i dont know if i'll ever see her again, i tried finding her on myspace but shes not there. is there ANY other way to find her or get her number?! ANY ideas??
