I lived in Japan for three years (while I was in the military, I'm a single white female) and I couldn't believe how the guys from my command would FLOCK and run to these Japanese girls who didn't speak a lick of English language. The basics the JN girls knew were Yes, No, and Meet Me at Front Gate. Basically they had cute white, black and non Japanese boyfriends and that is all they wanted. They didn't care to speak English because they didn't need to, as long as they had a cute boyfriend to mess around with. You can see them to this day, lined up in front of the main gate in Yokosuka, with their white stupid slouchy socks on and school girl outfits, just waiting for the guys. It's sad. Most the times, the guys will learn Japanese even though English signs are prevalent around Japan.

Japanese is the native language of Japan. DUH! How old are these Japanese girls, high school, college, shop girls, someone walking by on the street? Dude, if you're in Japan, learn the local language!
