From today’s news reports, “Congress has now approved $507 billion for Iraq, Afghanistan and heightened security at overseas military bases since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, according to the Congressional Research Service. The war in Iraq has cost $379 billion and the conflict in Afghanistan now totals $97 billion." I have tried the c and k rule, but skate defies that one. Then we thought sk was used before long vowels and sc before short, but scare, sketch, and scene don't work. If there is a rule, I would love to know it to teach it to my students so that they can spell their words correctly!

And occassionally laundry as well? I have tried switching detergents and adding Febreeze to the wash cycle but it hasn't helped really. Also have tried sponges but they seem to sour as quickly, possibly even faster. Unknowingly picking up a soured rag is just gross!

We have been waiting for a rent back check from our Title company since the 13th of September. Since this Monday, we have called every day and they are avoiding us like the plague. No call backs and no checks in the mail. The RE Agent is looking into it but he is slow as molasses. Does anyone know what recourse we have to getting this check? By the way this is in California.
