How can the criminal ‘Jesus Barabbas’ have the same name as Jesus?

Some early Greek manuscripts of Matthew present Barabbas' name twice as Jesus bar Abbas: manuscripts in the
Caesarean group of texts, the Sinaitic Palimpsest, the Palestinian Syriac lectionaries and some of the manuscripts used
by Origen in the 3rd century, all support the fact that Barabbas' name was originally Jesus Barabbas, though not all
modern New Testament translations reflect this. Origen deliberately rejected the reading in the manuscript he was
working with, and left out "Iesous" deliberately, for reverential considerations, certainly a strongly motivated omission.
Early editors did not want the name Jesus associated with anyone who was a sinner.

Do anybody think that dogs communicate like we do?

It done all over that you see your dogs expression and you comment on what you think there saying i have just done it, I turned to my dog and said that she didn't beg and then said that she must be saying beg! beg! ha i don't do begging that ben's job. then ben walked over to my dad on que and seemed to be saying beg beg what for wagging his tail!

Really thick glasses for my 9-yr old daugher. Is the doctor for real?

My daughter had been complaining about difficulty reading books and it affected her qrtly exams. The Opthamologist examined and concluded that she has +5 (+0.5 cyl) in each eye. The prescription glasses are really thick reminds me of magnifying glasses (I think they are magnifying glasses). Her vision didn't improve much as she says it's still kind of blurry. Can someone suggest if this Doc is for real? If he is for real, what could be the reason for this acute problem? Will her vision improve over time or will she have to wear these glasses forever?

I will have to seek a second opinion on this as I am not conviced that her problem is addressed adequately.

Erections in the locker room - is this a common thing for men?

In all of my years in school or now as an adult who uses gym locker rooms, I can't say that I ever witnessed it or had it happen to me. Yet I've heard that it does happen. Is this a common thing in sports? Is it just an uncontrolable reflex that just happens after intense physical activity and competition or what?
