Certain things play on my mind forever, currently it's an argument with an insurance company, who say that in 6 months I _may_ get some of my premium back, as I shouldn't have to lose my no claims discount when they're not actually paying anything out. It's part of a long story, but it's really getting me down and is becoming an obsession. I'm about to have a baby and really want to just forget about the car insurance altogether, but the extra £300 they've bunged on my renewal is all I can think about. How do you let things go, I realise there are more important things in life, but I just can't give it up. This is just an example, I seem to be like this with most things! Any advice on letting persistent gripes go would be gratefully received.

Ok. Since I was little I've had ear infections (who hasn't, right). I remember after getting over the infections I'd stick things in my ear. It started with pencils...dull not sharp. Well after a few times hitting my ear drum (very painful) I stopped. But I went to rolling up paper towel, tissue and toilet paper and sticking it in my ear. And the feeling is almost better than sex. I still do this from time to time. It's like I'm addicted to the feeling. It's been going on since I was little until now. (I'm 26) I'm still doing it. I don't feel any threat. I can still hear. But why can't I stop? Even talking about playing in my ear makes me want to do it. I've never seen anyone with the same quirk as me. But do you think it's ok? They say you shouldn't stick anything in your ear smaller than an elbow but the feeling is wonderful. Any thoughts?

24. (III) A hollow cylindrical resistor with inner radius r1 and outer radius r2, and length l, is made of a material whose resistivity is p (Fig. 25-32). (a) Show that the resistance is given by

R=(p/(2pil)) ln (r2/r1)

for current that flows radially outward. [Hint: Divide the resistor into concentric cylindrical shells and integrate.] (b) Evaluate the resistance R for such a resistor made of carbon whose inner and outer radii are 1.0mm and 1.8mm and whose length is 3.0cm. (c) What is the resistance in part (b) for current flowing parallel to the axis?

My son who is almost 3 is enrolled in a pre-school. However it breaks my heart every time I drop him off cause he screams and cries. The teachers assure me that it stops 2 minutes after I leave. I feel so bad. When I go to pick him up he tells me all the fun he has had but I hate leaving him crying like that. What should I do? Should I pull him out of it? Or do you have any suggestions for making this easier on him? He really needs to get used to being away from me so he is ready for school in a couple years so I thought this would be good for him. How long should I wait it out before I decide he just isn't ready?

There are a few things known to man, that provide a fantastic sense of clarity in the mind or spirit. There's love, fornication, certain foods, drink or drugs.. And of course there's poetry, music, other forms of art, and the inspiration from anything that challenges your current world view. Certain newspaper articles could even do that, for example. Others need travel or extreme sports to refresh their spirits.

Any of the above are wrong in the church, on different levels. Could that be because people need to be dumb to have faith? Could world peace then become a reality if next door to every congegration, we'd open an EasyPeace den, where poets and artists orate poetry and brilliant columns, accompagnied by live music and other artistry, while the audience drink dandelion wine, absynth and whiskies, smoke cannabis, have great sex and free travel passes or skydiving vouchers at the exit?

Why is it that woman - young and old - loves to display themselfs via their clothing - Skintight pants revealing every curve and shape of their bodies (and underware).
Isn`t this rather a display of a vulgar mindset (Lust ?)
There is definitaly NO purity in doing such a thing
Isn`t this the very thing that leads to adultery, rape & whoredom .... arn`t we asking for all the disasters we are experiencing lately ?
....just asking

I very occasionally have this happen to me and at first I was frightened, but when it happens now, its quite a strange but pleasurable feeling:-

When i'm really tired and I end of falling asleep but I know I need to stay away (usually on the sofa, during the day), I start to dream as per usual and my body/muscles switch off as per normal sleep routine. I am then semi-consious and still aware of the fact that I am on a sofa falling asleep. I can open my eyes and see the room around me, but I can't move my body as it has gone into sleep mode. I can then either just close my eyes again and drift deeper loosing consiousness as per normal sleep or tell myself to count to three and shake myself awake. When I do this, I can feel a massive surge of energy/warmth as my body comes back 'on' again and I'm fully awake again. I can feel the energy working its way through my body (takes a few seconds) - like i'm 'turning on' again. Are our bodies just mechanisms for our souls?....

1.) Day and night ,
my eyes roam the world

2.) We hated one another,
the afternoon turned black.

3.) My flashlight tugs me
through the dark.
it is a hound
with a yellow eye..
It points its nose
where sharp things
lie asleep -
And then it bounds
ahead of me
on home ground.
