I have started taking calicum due to bone issues and was told I should take this at bedtime because the body absorbs it better when you are resting and was wondering if anyone else has heard this or not.. Is there really a better time to take it?? Thanks in advance to everyone who replys..

I never heard that. It could be true but I doubt that the difference is significant. More important is that you get sufficient magnesium and Vitamin D along with the calcium, as they work together. I recommend you take them with food as well.

I take mine in the morning after breakfast - have done so for years. I recently had a bone scan and was told that I had "bones like bricks" - so my strategy is working!

Yes, that's true. Calcium is best absorbed at a time of rest.
You can also build stonger bones by making sure you are doing some kind of weight-bearing exercise each day. Without that, the calcium won't do you a lot of good.

I don't know that that's true but the body can absorb only so much calcium a day and you need something like 1200 mg a day so you should take your calcium 3 times a day 400 mg at a time.

Yes I've heard that also. My mother is taking calcuim and she takes in the morning and at night. Her doctor told her what you heard about absorbtion is better at night. So I guess its true. Also they told my mom that caffine can contribute to bone loss. So she went out to buy all this caffeine free crap. Crazy.
