Where would you invest $12,000? Currently no debt. Own a home and have some stock. So for an addition $12,000 would it be wise to look at an investment property or perhaps more stocks/bonds? Are there small LEGITIMATE side business's that can be entered into w/ this type of money?

Ronald Reagan, our president, pursued a war on drugs.

With Black Eagle and Supermarket, the CIA (under George Bush) secretly supplied weapons to the Contras in Nicaragua in contravention of congressional strictures.

In Black Eagle, Israeli stocks of captured PLO weapons were moved from Texas to Central America by means of General Noriega`s network of hidden airstrips in Panama... Instantly grasping that drug pilots would be sitting at the cockpits of the empty planes for the return flights, Noriega alertly filled the void by arranging for them to carry narcotics. The CIA, of course, was buying the gas, as well as protecting the whole operation against the impious meddling of law enforcement organisations.

A child might say this put the US Government in the cocaine trade - that is, in the War on Drugs, but on the wrong side.

What side are our leaders on in the War on Drugs?

I teach psychology and am constantly trying to find examples of "tricks" I can use to demonstrate ESP or perhaps how some frauds are able to trick people into believing they have it. I'm looking for simple tricks I can use in class. Please provide websites if possible.

Of course its ok to be a male and want a real relationship. I think most men do, but just do not want to feel rejected so they settle for what they can get.
First I want to state, I do like girls and appreciate the feed back from so many people, thank you!! Now, I ask about the answer above, if a girl knows that a guy has other friends and theey do stuff, then why would she too put herself in that situation, then get mad when he shoose the other girl ocver her? She knew so from the beginning!!

I know how to combine like terms--it's simple.

I also know that the answer to this riddle is "keyboard."

What I don't know is what it's asking to do.... like, once i combine the like terms for each problem then what? How are the answers from the first column suppose to match the answers to the second column???

And why do they have the problems separated in parenthesis?

If you can do problem A so I can compare mine just to see if I'm doing it right too, that would be great.

Thanks.

... Our good friend & neighbor passed away last night. He was a wonderful man, great grandpop, husband ... Our son played with his foster kids & they have all become an extension of our own family life.

I thought that since they have so many friends and family it would be nice to organize some of the dinners that will inevitably be delivered over the next few weeks. so I mentioned to a few people that I would be making up a schedule for that. each neighbor can pick a night to deliver a meal they make for her and the foster boys (10 & 14 & they eat like mad!).

Has anyone here every done this before? should I make any suggestions to people about portions or meals or should I just walk around to some houses with a blank printed out calendar sheet and put their names on it for whatever date they say? then make copies for everyone and pass them out so they remember?

is this overkill or a great idea? I figure I need to do it today... since he passed last night and people are gonna

My father has reverted back to me being 16 years old again but I am 48. I visit him at his house every day to take care of him and I also spend at least 4 nights with him to make sure all is safe. All of my "stuff' is pushed in the background.
I tell my fiance that I need to take of care of my dad. He understands but I can see our relationship is suffering because of this. Because of my dad thinking I am 16 again I actually have to sneek out of the house to go back to where I live and then get up about 4:00 AM and sneak back into my dads house so he will not know I have been gone.
This is getting old but I need to take care of my dad.
I would like suggestions on what to do beside putting my father in a nursing home.
Sorry for going on so, but just talking about it helps.
Thanks.

How does your lack of faith differ from your family's? My brother and I are always fighting and arguing about the bible and "faith". I try to end it peacefully, but there's only so many times I would allow him to tell me I'm going to hell. My parents allowed us to pick our own religion, so they don't mind at all. But my brother still condemns them because they don't go to church. Does your family question your integrity and values just because you're an atheist? Do you have a relative that just gets under your skin about this?

My 3 week old son hasn't pooped in two days. He tends to pass gas a lot and acts like he's trying to go poop but nothing comes out. Since I brought him home from the hospital, he's only been pooping about once a day and they are normal looking poops. They are fairly big and mushy but never harder than peanut butter. When he does poop he usually does the same thing, grunt and pass gas. Should I call his doctor about it or should I just give it a few more days and see what happens? He doesn't seem like he's in pain. I just don't like to have him struggle so much when he tries to pass a bowel movement. If anyone can help me out, that'd be great. Thanks.
