Rabbit pregnancies last from 28 to thirty-one days. If you have an idea when she was bred, mark the approximate date of delivery on the calendar, then one or two days before the rabbit is due, put straw into a box with one end cut out to within four inches of the bottom, and place the box in the cage. If your cage is small, she needs to have at least four times her body size outside of the box. She probably won't feed during the twenty-four hour period prior to her delivery. Don't worry about it and just leave the feed in the cage for her so that she can eat when she's ready. When the kits are delivered, she will have made a nest and will have lined it with it her own fur, then she will cover the kits with the fur and the straw.

Good luck and have fun.

Rabbits are generally pregnant for about a month. Most will kindle (give birth) between the 28th and the 32nd days--usually very early in the morning. You will probably go to bed without babies and wake up with them. The baby bunnies (called kits) are born without fur and with their eyes closed. They will stay in the nest for the first few weeks for warmth, and usually around the 4th week will start to explore outside the nest. Mama should be kept with them until they are at least 8 weeks old...and they can be kept together until they are 10 weeks old without any worries of fighting. Once you know that mama is pregnant, you do not want papa in with her at all. Not only is it possible for him to injure her, but once she has the babies, he will become very aggressive and will kill the babies. Mama bunnies usually nurse once a day (between the hours of 3 am and 7 am), and usually stay away from the nest for the rest of the time. Do you have any other questions? She will start pulling fur out when she is within three days of having them. She will then have her babies, and will put them in the nest. It is ok to check how many she has had, but they will not come out of the nest for about 3 - 4 weeks. Check them twice a day, as if some die, which nearly always happens, not all will die, but maybe a couple, they need to be removed. Otherwise flies will lay their eggs, and the maggots will eat the live babies too.

Also is some go missing, just have a quiet look for them in the hutch. If not, sometimes, if the mum is too stressed she may actually eat some, or rats may have got them, but they won't be able to if they are in a secure hutch. Don't handle the babies too much, as mum won't like it. This may cause her to reject them, and then you would have to hand feed them on a baby milk supplement every two hours, and believe me this is not fun.

Firstly - you need to separate the father, because he can injure the babies when they're born - keep your bunny mother in her own cage/hutch so that she feels safe there. She'll start to make a nest with hay and with her own fur - make sure she has plenty of hay, and somewhere safe and cosy to make her nest.

Her pregnancy will last for 28 to 32 days, and then just let her do her own thing and look after her babies for at least eight weeks! The babies should stay with their mother for at least eight weeks, to give their digestive systems time to develop with the necessary gut flora from their mother. If you separate them before eight weeks, they can have digestive problems for the rest of their lives!

Rabbits are pregnant for about 30 days. They should be with the parents until about 8 weeks but it depends on the situation. Here are some articles for you.

28-30 days.

It ought to stay with the parents for at least 2 months. Then again it would get pregnant by allowing it to mate with the male. You can get at least 4 litters per year...
