My mum is a US citizen and I know she apply for me to come and live in US, does anyone know how long this process takes to complete. Also is it easer to apply for me as her single child over 21 or does it make no difference if I'm married and to apply for my husband at the same time, anyone have any experience in this area please let me know? Thanks.

I will move to houston soon to start a job in Downtown Houston. Since I do not know much about the city, I wonder what would be a nice area to live. We are a young couple with a one-and-a-half year old son. So ideally, we would like to live close to areas for children's activities. A less-than-one-hour commute would be great.
