North pole...sun rises in the east..so if it is to his right, the west is to his left, behind him is south, straight ahead would be North..good luck..

Well, this answer should be simple. The sun rises in the east, and sets in the west. So, since it is morning (irrespective of the time zone), the sun would be rising in the east. Therefore, if the sun is on the boy's right side, then he would be walking towards the North Pole.

He would be walking towards the North Pole as the sun would be in the East. Of course if he were walking backwards it would be towards the South Pole.
