Well for me, I believe this depends on case to case basis. Sometimes a question can trigger of a spark in others and that's why thing get heated up a bit. All I can say is that, if there's no spark, there'll be no fire. Thus, whenever one post a qn, never be suggestive or provocative and such. This is for both the convenience of the ppl who asked and who aswered. Perhaps those who voted too... :D

I assume two things here on R&S.
1. People post according to their beliefs.
2. Never assume.

Given that, I just answer the questions hoping that someone here really does have that question, even if the asker does not.

No, for the most part the questions reflect the beliefs of the asker, unless of course the question is obviously cynical or sarcastic.

I do agree and I have had many encounters with people who assumed I held a certain position because of the way I asked a question. Often when I ask a question, I have structured my question to minimize the likelihood of influencing the reader.

I agree coz the asker might be just looking for some info to build up an idea about something.

Or maybe the asker is being tricky...

I do agree. Sometimes questions are based from a curiosity stand point nothing more nothing less. They don't define a person at all.
