Hey all, I have a hardware question. I have a laptop that might be overheating, the reason I say MIGHT is because I don't really notice much of a performance hit when the computer starts to get hot (yes burning hot).

My system BIOS (which cannot be updated any further), does not actually list a core temp, or anything else that has to deal with the measurement of the software.

My question is, since the heat seems to come from the BOTTOM of the system, does anyone know of a type of hotplate (basically i would put the system on the plate and it would give me a readout on the temp) that I could use?

I would personally like something that interlinked with the system in some way, since I am a computer programmer I was thinking I could make (or even download if programs exist to shut down in cases of extreme heat) a program that shut down the system when it reached a certain temp.

Any advice would be helpful.

i went to to a party full of athletes in college and they were all white and very cute. there were a lot of pretty blonde girls (that were all typical looking and looked the same) i'm not trying to be egotistical but i know i'm a really cute asian. i know a guy who has a 7 year old daughter & the girl is being raised by his mother with his mother telling the child that she is her mother & he is her brother. In the 4 years i've known this family as neighbors this little girl has been emotionally abused to the point where she is just a mess. All day long she is called bitches, whores & fat slut by the mother and she screams so loud you can hear her down the hall! I don't know all that goes on in that house but I babysat her a few times when she was 5 and all she could talk about was SEX! a FIVE YEAR OLD!I went to the "mother" and told her about it but all she could do was blame it on the father, her son. I confronted him about it in the hall and he put all the blame on his mother saying that he doesn't even have contact with the child and that the mother took her on against his wishes so it's "her" problem. Everyone in the building talks about how awful it is & the girl shows so many signs of abuse how can he sit back & do nothing?
