i went to to a party full of athletes in college and they were all white and very cute. there were a lot of pretty blonde girls (that were all typical looking and looked the same) i'm not trying to be egotistical but i know i'm a really cute asian. (i just want the real truth about the situation, give me the benefit of the doubt) . I got kind of bummed that night cuz i wasn't approached that much by any of the cute guys. they all flocked to the blonde girls. my friend paul said that white guys think asian girls secondly compared to white girls. is that the truth?

I don't know what you are talking about. white dudes love asian cutties. Hell, we just love cutties. The problem may have been that the blondes were just throwing the cooch out for easy scores!

No way Asian Girls are very pretty and I am sure you are very pretty. The Blondes probably knew more people there and you got stuck in a room full of them with athletes and were throwing themselves all over everyone. Sorry Your friend Paul is wrong as you can tell by all the postings you have gotten already. no need to get bummed out I'll bet you there is someone on campus looking at you saying I wish I could have her for a GF ( that last sentence not meant to scare you or anyone sorry if it did). Wish I could find one that didn't already have a ton of white guys hanging around her.

I don't know what party you went to, but all my guy friends, including myself, find Asian's very attractive! I would prefer a good looking Asian woman personally.
What do you mean by that much? If a couple of guys approached you, what's the problem? You can't expect every guy to come up to you, because each man has to find their own woman to flock towards.
You've got to be a little bit social too, though I guess there's a lot of the 'cute' guys that are much more forward and easily socialable to shy types. If you had even one decent or even good looking guy approach you, be happy. Everyone might have different tastes, it's possible that the guys at this party did like blondies better *shrug*.

Many white guys will take a "pretty blond girl" over a pretty asian girl. Some white guys though prefer asian girls over white girls, but they are a minority. Athletes in general will be more predisposed to the blondes, you would probably have a better change with engineers or science majors. There is also a distinction between girls you "play" with and girl you actually date. You most likely do not look like a girl who would be interested in playing for a night, so they will naturally gravitate in a party situation to the girls who will. While you being asian may have had something to do with it, it is probably more about you not giving off the vibe that they will get any from you that night. Get to college, talk to guys outside of parties, and you will have dates in no time.

I'm sorry you had that experience.
Not all white guys prefer blondes. However, among Caucasian society there is often this perception.
Choose where you decide to go with care, but realize that an adventurous life sometimes leads you to places where you experience a variety of responses. Sometimes people will reject you for what they perceive or do not perceive. Don't take this personally, or even conclude that all of the people of one type will act the same way. People are complex.
You may have been in the presence of a society of racist white guys. Go somewhere else.

I think white girls with blonde hair and blue eyes are depicted, in television and advertising as being the most beautiful, for two reasons: number one because many people in the western world look this way and obviously they will consider themselves to be the most beautiful and number two is that, in my opinion, having colorful hair and eyes is actually pretty interesting...(This could be because I have dark hair and eyes though). I personally like red hair and green eyes, but I'm not a nazi about it...I love all women. I think asian women can be really hot and many white guys goes crazy for asian women.

Not sure what was going on at this party but I know tons of white guys who like asian girls. Just look around at all the white men married to asian women. Maybe the guys were too intimidated to approach you.

It is culture, it is also probably because of their parents and their
expectations, white guys can be cowards IE take the safe route.
Besides college jocks aren't know for being an open minded crowd, Right now the world revolves around them and their sport.
Also, sorority houses regularly swarm around college athletes in search of future PC husbands.

Most people are attracted to people who look similar to them (barring any social conditioning from the media). It makes sense to me that the white guys were attracted to the blondes. With a lot of couples I see, the male and the female look like they could be siblings. You haven't mentioned your haircolor (I assume that you haven't bleached it blonde) - people tend to be attracted to blondes moreso than brunettes; however, people are more likely to want to marry brunettes.
If you like white guys so much, try going to New York city or LA. In those cities, caucasian men (especially Jewish guys) actually prefer asians to caucasian women. As you get further from these cities (especially in rural areas - e.g. West Virginia), the opposite is true, asian women are definitely second to the caucasian women.

that's crazy your friend is completely wrong. everyone is different and everyone has their own preferences. dont get hung up on this one party you said all the girls looked the same so my bet is all the athlete jock guys were too scared to stand out from their friends and pick an original looking girl. also josh holloway (sawyer from lost)-who i think is one of the most gorgeous actors-is married to a beautiful asian woman. remember that next time you're in doubt!

I thought Asian girls were really cute. But some Asian girls have a lot of attitude. Besides that, it is also a matter of personal choice, or natural choice. Not that they despised you, or hated you. It is just that when they saw someone of their own race and community, they must have thought it is easier to communicate and get in touch. It is a pretty basic human instinct.
I have known so many Asians talking in their native language all the time, even if they are a white party. I am an Asian too, and I can undedrstand how you feel. But then, as I said, it is a matter of choice, preference and comfort.
